The guitar tone is still beyond my comprehension.
I was just spinning this one too. Groundbreaking material, but that's surely been pointed out on several occasions already.

Interesting record. There's some very good music on there but i still can't make up my mind about the singer.
Having said that, the closing track, 'To The Light', is flawlessly epic, one of my favourite songs of the year.
I also credit them with great taste when it comes to choosing cover songs to record. Motorhead's 'Built For Speed' & Tempest's 'Funeral Empire', are far from the usual obvious selections & they pulled both off with ease & style.

I've written review for Metalegion's next issue. Perhaps not a review that's top-written, but I gave it very highs score. I like them a lot. And covers are amazing, esp. 'Funeral Empire'. Joseph Tholl vocals: Bread with peanut butter, of course, there are some chunks in the spread, all the more loveable bcs of that.

Nicely put Noisenik.
I actually wonder if my misgivings about his singing are down to the mix of the album, as i don't have any issue with the vox on their 45s. At any rate, I've only been listening to the album for a couple of months so the vox may grow on me yet.
Were the band very different stylistically in their previous incarnation as Black Trip? Don't think i ever heard them.

Style is the same, only a little bit more of MAIDEN among ingredients.

How are these LONE STAR?
