DEVIL - heavy rock from Norway

Post by Cargonaut »

With a touch of doom. 3 songs from the forthcoming demo "Magister Mundi Xum" out now on http://www.myspace.com/devilband . Feel free to check it out. 2 more songs will be added soon. It's a demo for all its worth, so pay more attention to the complete picture than our rather suspicious technique....

We can also be found on Facebook; http://www.facebook.com/devilband and be contacted at devilband@gmail.com .

Hope you enjoy it!

Cheers,

Stian, kan ikke du dra deg over i Slayer Mag tråden - du har sikkert noe interessant å bidra med der.

Devil is a cool band, like the sound more than quite a few other bands in the same genre. I'd recommend people here to give it a chance.

I like how stale & un-groovy it sounds, but as always my brain won't leave my ears alone - if it had really been this forgotten 1979 demo act it sounds like, a-ravin' I'd go... Now I just tap my feet and think "hey, pretty cool.."
A poser is me..

Sounds pretty sweet. I'll pick up the demo when it's out.

Thanks for all feedback, awesome that so many of you like what you hear!

As there has been quite som interest in Devil and the "Magister Mundi Xum", we've decided to take pre-orders for the demo through our distro partner Unborn Productions. Place your orders at unbornprod@gmail.com , and you will be noticed for payment and shipping when the demo is released in November. No payment required until release. This way those of you who wanted it first, are sure to be served.

Price inclusive shipping in Europe will be 8 Euro.

Thanks in advance for your orders.

Cheers,

I like the songs on the myspace page a lot, especially "At The Blacksmith's", I listen to it like every day since I discovered it. If I wasn't completely out of money I'd preorder the demo right away.
I also like the raw, natural, airy sound a lot.

Cool!

We have agreed on releasing Magister Mundi Xum on tape through Iron Bonehead. More info will follow soon. This is of course in addition to the cd version.

I've been accused of talking up Ghost too much so I'm switching allegiances to this fucker. Wonderfully decrepid stuff, nice one Stian!

Can't blame you, they're a fine band. There's no such thing as "overrated".

Probably not. If you rate them you rate them, period. I have to say I'm not really convinced though. Devil sound more exciting to me, but it's not really a competition so I'll leave it there.

The CD version of "Magister Mundi Xum" is now in Norway, waiting for customs clearance. A bit later than we'd hoped, but hopefully it's worth the wait! The tape version will also be available at Iron Bonehead very soon.

On another note, we've signed with Soulseller Records, and will hopefully release the debut full length around april. Song material is piling up, and we'll try to do some festivals in 2011 as well in additian to Metal Merchants Festival 2011, for those interested. (Tell your local promotor!)
