Has that Amethyst EP ever surfaced? Never seen a copy; seems pretty impossible to find

Yes, there were a few copies on Ebay in recent years and a well known german collector scored a few copies on one of his US record hunting journeys too that landed in the hands of the big collectors maybe 4 or 5 years ago.
But currently I dont know anyone selling a copy.
I'd need one for my own collection too as I turned down the trade offer AMETHYST for DARK LIGHT (UK) by the time copies were "available". Looking back now I'd say I made a mistake, haha.
