I picked this up recently and enjoy the music but wonder why it was pressed only on a pic lp with no black vinyl option? The sound is not that great.

Listened to this again and the sound is not bad just expected from a picture disc.Still a great release.Sorry for the initial negativity

No problem, thanks for the last update. It was released as pic disc as we wanted to really pay tribute to this classic and make it something special, and there is already the original black vinyl version from 85. We are really happy with the sound and have good feedback from many fans that got it.
