this is one of the rare occasions when I am not willing to appreciate something that everyone else detests
on the other hand I don't think Cloven Hoof were THAT awesome even back then so I blink back my tears over this

Down there in the Darkness
Centuries of Evil
And his Arms will take you deeper and deeper

What a suprise!! A Long-dead metalband TRIES to write new stuff, only to realize they are doomed to stay on the "reunions for wankers" bandwagon..It's not 1981 anymore, people. Heavy Metal is like the Blues now...a dead genre that only survives due to re-issues & reunion festivals. Face it.

Agreed (even though it's "Sad but true").malegys wrote:What a suprise!! The song isn't good at all though.
Fair enough, but why release new material that's borderline nu-metal then?malegys wrote:What a suprise!! A feable attempt at being "modern",which shows how out of touch they really are.It reeks of desperation really (sigh).Avenger wrote:Fair enough, but why release new material that's borderline nu-metal then?malegys wrote:What a suprise!! I don't think they tried to be modern. They just tried to be a joke. No one in their right mind would sit back and watch that performance and be pleased, let alone make a videoclip from it which is cringe worthy in it's own right.
There are enough old heavy metal bands trying to please the groove/progressive/core crowds. But no matter how much they suck, none of them would appreciate musically what Cloven Hoof recorded there.
