The band PRELLUDE began in November 1995 when four friends gathered
to participate in a festival of music at a college in their region. The meeting of Ismael Moreira (drums), Christian Lima (guitar), Reginaldo Honda (Bass) and Laércio Costa (Vocals) to play in the event only two songs "Anjos da Noite" and "Razões para Vida" has led to the first training and due to the receptiveness of the public to decide banda continue baptizing with the name Prellude, which means "shadow, beginning, prior act or performance of something." We adopted that name because it is the beginning of a section of rock in Brazil: the Hard / Heavy Metal sung in Portuguese. Aiming to rescue the good crop of bands that emerged in the 80s and revere the Old School movement, based on bands of extras Brazil: Harppia, Azul Limão, Stress, Salário Minimo, Taurus and others. His 1st CD "A Estrada do Rock" won the 1998 distribution in Portugal (Sound Riot), Germany and Argentina, participated with the song "Anjos da Noite" in the collection of zine Underground Super Texan. In 2000 launched the Demo-CD "Raising from the Dead" with 6 songs. In 2002 returns to the scene with Demo-CD "The Great War", with 3 songs and an extensive calendar of shows. Despite the gratifying period were many changes in training and the band closes its activities. In mid-2005 and Vinicio Christian decide to back the project in the name Prellude keeping in view the requests of friends and fans who follow the work of the banda. Thus emerged the first songs of the current CD "Máquina do Tempo" bringing together 09 songs and a novel rewrite of the song "Estrada do Rock" in the 1st CD. At all stages the Prellude bear the flag Heavy Metal 80s and today, as a result of years of experiments in the recipe "Old School", launches its latest debut, bringing the energy stored up from standby. Formerly known as MERCENARI and hailing from Saddle Brooke, New Jersey, this band never managed to put out any album despite their excellent musicianship. Technical yet melodic thrash that reminds cult bands such as TESTAMENT, FORCED ENTRY, MELIAH RAGE. Intense drumming and massive guitar attack! This double cd collects both MERCENARI demos, the three MIDIAN demos (one of which never officially released), rehearsal songs, a soundboard live recording and 3 videoclips (multimedia files).
