High Vaultage/Maximum Metal/Metal For Muthas

Post by ugobo »

I'm looking for a complete list of CDs released by High Vaultage and their sub-labels on the net without success.

Anyone got one?

Thanks!

Ask Sentinel Steel. Denis used to carry those in the past and may have a list.

Meanwhile the label has reissued Diamond Head's "Lightning To The Nations" in the "Rule Britannia Series but I haven't checked the number. It has a different layout.

So the label is still active as it seems.

HMM.

I suppose it is not a complete list because i just found two other titles...

High Vaultage

-Demolition "Wrecking Crew"
-Bashful Alley "It's About Time"

Also,is it possible that some titles never saw the light of day on CD? I'm thinking of Juggernaut "Trouble Within" and Persian Risk (wich the only edition i can find is on Powerage Records).

One should also consider the possibility that there is a current Russian/Asian bootleg operation which churns bootlegs faking them to appear as legit re-releases by current/active labels. Like VIKING - Do or Die Lost&Found re-release for instance.

The Persian Risk CD exists as I found it on sale several times on Ebay. I got the other edition without bonus track and sooner or later I want to trade it

I am dubious about the DAMIEN THORNE "Wrath of darkness" CD: I made some researches and it seems that the only edition available is the one on Criminal Records.

Also, the Rule Britannia series should have some correction:

RB-1005 CHEVY

I listed Demolition Crew: The Anthology as number 1005...I had no idea that there was a Chevy CD out too...making some researches on the net I haven't found any info abuout it, the only CD edition I know is the one on Lost Gems from Australia

Yes, i would like to know which are those russian or asian bootleg labels...
I presume they only sell through Ebay or Web stores as during my countless trips to Asia I haven't ever seen a bootleg CD on sale in regular shops except for Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, obituary and major bands on major labels. So I presume that these bootleggers should seel exclusively only thru the web: I am pretty familiar with Malaysia and I haven't ever seen any bootleg on sale in CD shops. Never.

When I go to Asia I see a lot of bootlegs but they have nothing to do with heavy metal, or at least they just bootleg old classics of the 80's/90's on Island, Universal, Music For Nations such as Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer.... I haven't ever seen any asian bootleg CD of lablels such as High Vaultage: this would be almost impossible as asian bootleggers usually make copies of widely distributed labels (mainly major labels) and have any clue of what's wiorthing or not. They just make bootlegs of what they think are items who may sell everywhere in the world so I think it's higly doubtful that there are some bootlegs of Metal For Muthas/High Vaultage and I assume it's completely impossible that such bootleggers may prosegue the series with new titles. I exclude it 100%.

Was Juggernaut's Trouble Within actually released? I tried to find that but to no avail. I heard it was supposed to be released on High Vaultage but in the end it did not happen.

List Edit:

Deleted Juggernaut "Trouble Within" since it was never released (but planned to be)
Deleted Damien Thorne "Wrath Of Darkness" since it was never released on High Vaultage (the band released the album themselves)

Added Demolition "Wrecking Crew"

HMM.

Bashful Alley was already on the list. Chevy was on the list I got from High Vaultage years ago. So it was probably planned but never happened.

So with these corrections, the list should be almost complete. The now empty numbers haven't been assigned by other releases as far as I know.

I dont know who is behind those bootlegs. A friend of mine who lives in Moscow told me that Gorbushka (the biggest cd market in Moscow) got flooded with VAMPYR, which turned out to be a bootleg of my own re-release. Since it is imitation of my release, I cannot know for certain if the copies surfacing on eBay are real or fake. Although I have a pretty good guess when sellers from Belarus, Azerbaijan, or Kazakhstan have multiple copies to sell for $6.99... It sucks when bootleggers target current releases at such underground level, but nothing one can do really. So I try to be philosophical.

I know that Bryan (Lost and found) took the Viking bootleg sporting his logo very personal, but I doubt he would be able to do much either. I guess we should put some money together and hire Chuck Norris to go kick some butt in Siberia
