Another local (Munich) german Metal/Hard Rock Compilation:
http://www.ebay.de/itm/LP-V-A-HARD-N-HE ... 5b181e2ae5

A-side bands are modern Prog/Funk/Thrash etc. B-side has a few nice traditional Metal songs but all live recordings.
Not essentional ...

This one is better (same label):
https://www.musik-sammler.de/album/248732

The Comics do play boring Rock, the other 3 bands are all playing in the same melodic Metal/Hard Rock style.

Some other Feierwerk Compilations ('85, '90, '91) do feature more local Munic bands but mostly just 1 or 2 Heavy Rock acts on the record. I'd only buy them for 1-3 Euros per piece. There are also 2 unreleased Magenta trax on the 90er edition ...
It's not easy to be the Antichrist ...

There doesn't seem to be any end to all the obscure compilations out there! 7 more titles added.

Appreciated as ever. One note: 3 Points of Metal's country of issue should be New Zealand rather than Oz.

Re: The Metal Compilopedia – Now a database!

Post by DaN »

There's been a major improvement to the Compilopedia: The old A-Z titles list is scrapped and it has now taken the form of a database, where you can select country/region, format, year and all-Metal/mixed releases and have all reviewes of your preferred criteria listed. Try it out and let me know what you think.

(Xtra special creds go to Patrik of the great musikon.se site for helping out with the php coding)

How hard would it be to add a 'search' box for text searches? I would find that very useful.

I can't add that function to this specific album-filter-thingie, but I could add one of those site-specific google searches to the site. Been toying with the idea before so I'll look into it...

That would be useful. Of course we can easily search the forum but searching the rest of the site is not so easy.
