A well-known one. This time the seller changed his tune and claims that

1. He has a "certificate of authentication" which is simply a paper that he printed on his own printer.

2. Shipping rates change due to his ''frequent traveling''. How many people do you know who actually carry along their selling stock in frequent travels? This is plain bullshit. The seller probably ships from the same location all the time and that probably isn't the US.

If you check out his feedback you'll see that there are tons of other "official" boxes that go for insanely high prices. The motherfucker needs to be reported mercilessly by everyone.

How do you make a bootleg lighter? Just curious.

You should read carefully what that "certificate of authentication" declares ... haha
It doesn't says with any word that this is an official release. It just says what is included. Very tricky ... hehe

How can you tell a bootleg vinyl from an original? I mean, the matrix code on a cd makes it rather easy, but what about vinyls?

If the coverartwork, bandpicture and/or letters are of fuzzy/blurred quality then it is a good indication you are dealing with bootlegs.

Vinyls have matrixes too.

Covers, labels and matrixes are usually (slightly) different.

Unfortunately, some recent bootlegs are very hard to tell from the original. Examples: Merciless 1st LP, Mayhem MLP. Buyers beware...

On Discogs there are two Greek sellers offering a vinyl copy of Silencer -Death, Pierce Me. The vinyl was limited to 200 copies, so my bootleg radar is acting out.
