The cracked record (Mazo - s/t) was due to the package receiving a more than rough behaviour during shipping. Seller claimed postal damage and refused to refund me anything. I think e-bay blocked him a while later.

As for warps - one single (Assassin - Treason) I sent to a member on this forum a few months ago came out severely bowl warped and unplayable when it arrived, so I had to replace it with my only other copy. It was flat as a pancake when I shipped it (and I package well, otherwise I'd be the world's largest hypocrite). The other record in the same package was completely unaffected, so I'm guessing the package must have been standing next to a heat source only affecting one side during shipment. I also bought a mint copy of the Medieval - s/t EP from ebay last month where a tiny warp had developed during shipping, still enough to make the first songs on both sides unplayable (clips were included in the auction from the songs that were unplayable when it arrived, so I know the warp must have developed during shipping). Seller had a return policy but the shipping cost is greater than what I paid for the record so I won't bother.

It's happened to me a few times that items don't arrive at all. Last time I was lucky and got a replacement (Chainsaw - Police & Politicians 7'').

I still have a 250 SEK spending limit per record. But since I buy mostly from sellers who have +1000 feedback I don't think it should make much difference.

But yeah, I'm seriously considering to quit collecting. It's just not worth getting disappointed all the time. Maybe I'll stick to trading and buying at record fairs. Or maybe I just need to let off some steam and come back with a vengeance.

I hardly ever complain to the sellers coz I think it's worthless, a waste of time, and it's not always their fault. Some packages are so severely molested I wonder what the postal service has done with them? Unfortunately packages poorly packed AND hurt in transit are a combination that happens way too often.

Yosuke is in his own league when it comes to proper packaging, that's for certain!

I don't buy as much as I used to, but I never used to have many disappointments. With sellers I don't know, I some times send instructions for packaging and have probably insulted some people, but it's worth it.

doing nothing means a lot to me.
