Cool you finally got to add this wet collector dream to your collection Patrik, but I can't help thinking you've finally went off the deep end as far sanity goes with that price
(For our international members: it was so damn crazy it made for a couple of Swedish mainstream press articles...)

You should save that article for a future entry to the 'collectors porn' some day, impossible to beat!

Haha. I paid 950 dollars (6767kr) for it, and I have never even paid 1/3 of that price for a record ever before. This was the first and only time I paid such a price for a record since my goal is a enourmous swe metal 7'' collection and it's the one and only swedish metal 7'' I really need that could reach such a price. Of course I'm super glad I don't have to chase this single anymore, but it hurted alot paying this price for it of course.

Don't say it'll be the only time. Maybe not for swedish stell if you're almost complete maybe, but you're hot for NWOBHM also i think.
It never hurts me when i transfer money for records, haha, only when i pay cash, there are worlds between these two, at least for me.

Because for you, spending that kind of money on a record is an everyday occurrence! Patrik usually gets these items in a trade involving 4 people in 3 countries trading 16 records around; when he breaks out the big $$$, it's news! :)

(hopefully it's obvious I'm just goofing off with you two)

That beats my highest amount for Most Paid for a Record, then again you got one helluva record! I always thought that, if I was gonna splurge and pay a huge amount for just one record, Scratch would be the one, as 'Metal breaker' is one of my all time favorite songs from any genre.

I'm crazy in nwobhm singles too, yes. Sadly, haha! Though I have never paid bigger bucks for any of my singles. I've been really lucky. I've traded alot too. I have had half of my swedish 7'' collection once or twice before since I've traded away and re-bought them, hehe. For example I have had Hels 2 times before, Depzon 3 times, Zone Zero 2 times, Wizzard 2 times, Victim 2 times, Maninnya Blade 2 times and so on. Swedish steel is top trade items to foreign collectors for sure!

Haha, to lend over 950 dollars in pure cash hand to hand would hurt as hell. You don't get the idea how much money it really is when you see the digits on your computer screen suddenly turn to zero. :P

Alan: Haha, that describes my Marquis De Sade deal pretty well.

Again, I'm glad I don't buy mediocre stuff just for its rarity.

Actually the whole 'collector mentality' feels really alien to me these days. That stuff's often a luxury or an escape. People going 'ooooh' over some damn different colour vinyl with the same music...shit doesn't mean anything anymore when you have other problems.

If someone said 'I just spent 10 000e on a Street Child EP' someone could say it was ridiculous and I could post the same generic comment as you.

Watch out daniel, even more generic, over-hyped items coming your way:

That's the split w/ YOKE OF STEEL right? I'd love to see an upload of it, mainly because that band name, um... "fascinates" me.
