I think I have a song on a compilation tape somewhere...but not sure if it is this SS band.

No,they are not the same Emerald.Both have rare releases though.

Harvey Wallbanger's album & 7" are both quite chaotic, even for me and I love Thrash, so the demo won't be much better I'm afraid.

That first demo is not chaotic, just terribly outdated and badly played. The ugly drumsound kills it then totally. But I guess they were not that serious about that:
