That was a great read, nice one Pavlos!
I particularly enjoyed Glynn's remembrances about the Wrexham festival, he had some great stories.
Maybe he's right about Harvest Moon being cursed, their name was even misspelled on the gig poster:

Are you sure this is the same band or thay they weren't going by a different name at the time?

That would be quite the typo as it's not even close

Is the TRIDENT anthology on No Remorse worth getting? Any opinions?

Not sure about that though I really dig the 7" and always wanted to hear more from them.

Wasn't very impressed. Nothing that can match "Destiny". Not even close in fact.

I've only heard the Trident comp all the way through once or twice, but to me it sounded worthy of further listens certainly.
For comparisons sake, it didn't instantly grab me like the excellent Stormtrooper or Scarab anthologies did, but it didn't turn me off like the Phyne Thanqz comp either.
Regarding Harvest Moon, yeah, i'm afraid that typo did indeed appear on the gig poster for the festival @ Wrexham FC.
It seems people just couldn't remember their band name, as in the interview Pavlos did with Glynn he refers to a glowing review they received for that gig in one of the music papers @ the time where they were again misidentified, this time as 'Shoot The Moon', a completely different band also doing the rounds at that time.

Well, they did a 12", so may not qualify, but I really enjoyed the Geddes Axe-comp!

I'm in a resurrecting mood this week!

When is High Roller (or anyone) going to release a DAWNWATCHER compilation LP?

Good question. I figure this yt comp would make a great LP:

I know there's another thread on this specific subject somewhere, but it's worth pointing out here how short the list of not-yet-compified NWOBHM 7"-only acts has become in later years. Now that ARC finally happened (..and with surpringly awesome result!) my personal #1 wish is SACRED ALIEN. The unique sound of those 3 songs makes it impossible for me to imagine them ever making a dull tune. What else? "Fantasy/Reality" KRAKEN would make another killer LP, 7" + demo.

I can think of a few that I'd love to see get comped:

Y DIAWLED
PALI GAP
CHARGER
ORE
REINCARNATE
LAUTREC
TORTURE
VALHALLA
SHYWOLF
TRACER
PROWLER (both the "Forgotten Angel" band and the band who released the GODLY "Metal Fatigue" song)
RAW DEAL

But I have no idea if other recordings even exist.

The TREASON demos are long overdue for the compilation treatment, some of my all time favourite NWoBHM tracks are on those tapes & it's absolutely criminal that those songs have yet to see any kind of official release. Seems particularly strange that their material hasn't surfaced as several former members are still working musicians, so you'd think they'd surely be aware of the renewed interest in the NWoBHM in recent years & of the many compilations by their peers from that era.
I'd also like to have the archive CYNIC recordings comped again as the 'Right Between the Eyes' comp sounded sonically 'off' to me somehow and the material deserves a wider audience than that limited release was able to reach. Seems like a job tailor made for High Roller. That other album they finally did featuring re-recorded versions of their old material, (Suburban Crisis), was okay, but i preferred the original singer & the rawer more naive sound of the original recordings.
Nice to hear that DAWNWATCHER material again, love that upfront proggy bass tone & i've always been a sucker for some tasteful mellotron, which isn't something i often get the opportunity to say round these parts.

CMC are releasing a Valhalla comp on cd.next week:

High Roller are releasing a Raw Deal comp. in December:

Thank you! I'll be sure to get 'em both.

If I remember correctly, RAW DEAL was probably the first NWOBHM 7'' single I ever bought.

Judging by nightsblood's brand new review of BIG DAISY, it looks like it belongs in this thread...

Cackling at the "Bethany the Portly Florist" bit.
