I love that lp for all it genius and badness. The last track is simply amazing IMO. Demos were quite excellent too.

It's great, but only when I'm in the right mood.

Thanks for bringing this band up Dan. Heard them years back, not sure if it was the LP or demos but remember liking it...

Playing it now & it's even odder than I remember it being. Thanks for the write-up!

A total sucker ...
It's not understandable for me how you guys can spend your time with such a musical garbage.
There's better stuff out there for sure.

That about sums it up for me too. Funny thing, it took quite a while to write that short review - I just had a hard time playing it too intensly for more than a few days at a time. I had to take a break from it for about a month in order to finish the page.

I'd really welcome a demo box set/DLP reissue - there are parts of the demos that are even better than the best parts of the LP ...and worse too, but it would still be a must-buy release for me.

Here's some 'Occultic Okinawan Heavy Metal' in all its ugly glory:

(it's actually one of the weaker, more wavy demo tracks, but still a nice watch..)

Definitly deserves a vinyl treatment for the demos. The cd is still hard to find in europe. I think it was released by the main guy from Bellzlleb (another crazy legend from japan).

I bought the 3CD set years ago, gave it one listen then banished it into storage never to be heard from again. No amount of uber cult-talk here or anywhere else will make me give it another try.

I don't love it or hate it. It's definitely interesting and there are some great parts when I'm in the mood for something strange but typically it's not an album I'm likely to listen to.

Honestly with the cover art and band photos and dark image I was kind of expecting some kind of fusion of metal and Japanese post punkish bands like Phaidia and Coma.

There's a copy up for sale right now on Ebay ... don't expect any bid from me. I wouldn't even touch it with an iron glove.
