I have a copy but one side is a thrash band with a male singer. Anybody have a copy and knows what the other band is???

There's a few copies like this. It's not that uncommon. Did you try a search of the forum? I think it's probably been discussed here before.

Yep, I searched and nothing comes up using Phantom Blue test pressing for the criteria

The test pressing was done for Roadrunner. The Phantom Blue number matches up but the other one I can't find anything on, perhaps it was never commercially released?

I just did a search myself and couldn't find it either although I remember it being discussed here before. I think it may have happened when the site was having host problems and a bunch of threads went missing.

Perhaps someone else can chime in that charified this back then. I can't remember what the band was.

If all else fails you can always upload a rip. It will get figured out for sure that way.

I wish I could do a clip but I don't have a USB TT and there is no RCA jacks on the back of my desktop system

Have you compared with the other Roadrunner releases from the same year? --->

What's the runout etching of the mystery side?

As stupid as this sounds, this reminds me of The Accused. Interestingly, side A has the unidentified band. The Phantom Blue side which is side 2 of the album clearly identifies the catalog number as a Shrapnel SH-1043, (not Roadrunner) release so my bad. A side matrix is S-22027. S-22028 shows on the Phantom Blue side B

Name that tune. Can't do rips but a short vid

and another way better tune

Oh, nice! Another conundrum. And we still haven't figured out those five from that mixtape.

Sounds familiar, reminds of many bands from that era and at none at the same time. could be Accused, but vocals are not heard well on track no.1 ...

I guess I will try to record a full track off the record today, there is 8 tracks on the side, I just hate trying to upload vids as it takes forever

Surprised no one has recognized this so far but then again, maybe it was never commercially released material

I'll need a track with louder vocals.

this. or some studio side-project that was canceled. or some band unfortunate enough not to be able to afford self-release or even forbidden to do it by contract obligations.

I don't recognize the music from those clips but I think we can all agree that it's nothing that mr Varney would have signed in 1989. It's obviously made at the same pressing plant as the one Shrapnel used though, so finding the name of this plant would make a good clue. Unfortunately I can't find any manufacturing info on any of my Shrapnel records...
