Dr. Skull - Rools 4 Fools

such a mixed record: near 10 out of 10, 70ies inspired (hard) rock masterpieces VS. alternative rock/metal shit songs (the opener even sports "rapping" in the mid section, totally ruins an otherwise okay song)

Legion - Shadow of the King
(just bought it in a second hand cd shop, great old school metal for a pretty new release!)

Not another Legion! Perhaps they could change their name to Noigel?

Yep, erverything very traditional, not only the music :o
I think this is the fourth band with this name I have in my collection - two from the US, one from Russia, one from Spain - and there are some more, as listed in the Metal archives...
This Legion is from NJ and the CD was self-released in 2003, and then recently re-released by some label as well... a really enjoyable cd!

What do you think of it? I'm starting to grasp it more now, but I still don't think it's up to the quality of Conqueror or Suffer no Guilt...

I'm inching towards the same opinion. But I haven't given it enough attention the last few weeks. Some of the songs are on the same level as the previous releases, but it isn't as consistent as those.
