OCCULT HEAVY METAL.

Post by thundersteel »

Hello i'm a big fan of almost every heavy metal band of the 80's but my favorite ones always have been the ones who have occult/satanic lyrics and concepts, for example:

WITCHFYNDE
DEMON
ROBES PIERRE
DEMON PACT
HELL
ANGEL WITCH
QUARTZ
BERSERKS (ITA)
BLACK HOLE
BLACK WIDOW
BLACK VIRGIN
WITCHFINDER GENERAL
AND OF COURSE ALL THE 70'S BANDS, SO I WOULD LIKE YOU TO RECOMMEND EVERY BAND FIXING ON THIS LABEL, CHEERS!

One of the best oscure heavy metal albums, this one is just beautiful and you have to check out the live album from the 70's that appeared some months ago.

Saint Vitus is one of the best bands of this line for me. Another style but Serpents Knight is great!

I'm not sure about their other songs but this one fits perfectly to your request:

well that could be up for debate, I think just that song(Lucifer´s Friend) is the only slight aproach to the occult.

Sabbrabells (but again that is up for debate)
Nigro Mantia
Exorcist
Halloween
Ripper
Sarcofagus
Paul Chain
Wolfbane

these are the first to come into my mind right now that I really enjoy(besides the ones already listed),there are hundreds more for sure

EDIT: oh I see Paul Chain was already mentioned

I don't see how Sabbrabells is up for debate, you're on target there and anyone heading to the east to find this stuff should find some Crowley and Tabbasa also...

CEMETERY from Detroit.
Dark Heavy Metal, unfortunately a "demo only" band.
You can listen to their songs on:
