"Occult Metal/Rock" etc. is such a stupid term, most bands have nothing to do with it, and I wouldn't label bands this just cos they had some dumb lyrics here or there. Then some bands end up coming across like fools when they try to be overly serious about it, yet back it with lacking music...

Recently heard PROPHET from California, I think they fit well in this thread with titles like "Revenge of Enoch", the Baphomet on one of the covers and the mystical vibe being definitely there musically. The songs on both demos show some potential, but unfortunately there are many parts where they drag on for too long.

As far as I'm concerned no one portrays the darker 'occult' feel through music better than the Italians. Starting from the famous italian 60s/70s prog rock movement through the 80s heavy metal bands and even nowadays, there's something intrinsic in their enviroment and their interest in occult themes which helps them conjure this aura which feels more authentic compared to bands from other countries. I also feel the Italian language plays a big part in creating this feel, especially if you can understand what is being said....like me. In general, this is not easily explainable but as I live in Malta, which is 30mins flight to Sicily and we know Italy very well through TV channels and also since both societies are very similar with regards to religious/catholic attachment, probably I can relate to it much more. I know Black Hole and Paul Chain have been mentioned already so I'll suggest some other bands in that vein:

Jacula: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_t999R07JY
The Black (most of the lyrics in Latin): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hA8Rwv2JxSg
Zess: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yShvbszksbE
L'impero delle Ombre: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2Ud_4YCOWU
Sacrilege: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1AdU5bROxo
Epitaph (ex-members of Black Hole and Sacrilege): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZko1x4oGVQ

and a number of other bands such as Abysmal Grief, Deliria, Cultus Sanguine etc.

I only know "Black Raven" from the Metal Madness comp, but that is some good stuff there.
