First Mission and Fatal Strike / Storming the Desert are two unrelated bands sharing the same moniker.

Fatal Strike was rather generic heavy metal with some doomy touches. Nothing really exciting to write about.

Storming the Desert was much better demo, too bad the band did not continue in this direction.

Fatal Strike line up is this:

Steve Crandall - vocals
Brian Cassidy - Guitars
Tom Heslin - Bass on 3,4,5
Paul Sroczunsky - Bass on 1,2,6
Jim McKenna - Drums

I've seen discussion about this before

My understanding as to why the two bands are often mistaken for the same one is because they shared the same name and both were from Chicago.
