Metal Virgin LP? (Thrash Records 1984)

Post by NWN PROD »

How is this record? I heard it's not exactly metal, but hardcore influenced metal. How much is it worth?

Its quite unknown, I have seen it on lists between 15 and 30 Euro. But it's not really worth getting, it did not find a home in my personal collection

Absolutely nothing there for Metal-fans I'm afraid. It's basically punk/oi/hc but I get the impression that the band thought themselves to be Speed/Thrash/Crossover. The distinctions between the genres were muddy in these days, but MV missed the point entirely.

Is there any hint of metal there? Is it good hardcore?

No, no hints of Metal at all really. It's not too bad HC I guess, the vocal style is quite original as I remember it. Haven't put it on in years though. It's been tucked away in the "strange/weird/misfit-metal" crate for ages. I'll give it a spin in the weekend and get back to you.

At least the cover artwork looks pretty cool. I'll probably get it to satisfy my curiosity.
