Never heard these, i'll try to check em out, thanks nonseinormale65!Nonseinormale65 wrote: Plus --- Same -- from Argentina, this was their second album,(typical
hard rock a la Led Zeppelin/Bad Company)note that Saul Blanch

Black Spirit -- Same (recorded in 1973 but published in 1978,
extremely rare with gatefold cover,
this band was formed by italian members but they all lived
in Germany, heavy doom inspired by Black Sabbath;reissued on cd and
lp with different cover in 1993/1994).
Janus -- Al maestrale(extremely rare, but reissued many times,
this is a very strange but good italian stuff, hard rock
with medieval influences).

Not the quantity of killer releases as some other years in the '70s, but:
Judas Priest 'Stained class'
Judas Priest 'Killing machine'
Rose Tattoo 's/t'
AC/DC 'Powerage'
AC/DC 'If you want blood'
Scorpions 'Tokyo tapes'
Sorcery 'Sinister soldiers'
Thin Lizzy 'Live and dangerous'
Van Halen 's/t'
And I was released in '78 as well, which my mother probably thought was a good thing...

I had a feeling it might get out of control...Avenger wrote:Where are the NWOBHM crazies when you need them? This thread is getting pretty off-topic by a few posts

Sure there were a few broderline NWOBHM releases in '78 but the good stuff didn't come out until the next year. I mean, Urchin was OK but this is supposed to be the best of '78, not the mediocre of '78.Avenger wrote:Where are the NWOBHM crazies when you need them? Stained class followed by Rush's Hemispheres for me.DaN wrote:This early in music history there's simply no competition - "Stained Class".
I would of been 8yrs old then, I remember around that time I had three lp's that I listened to all the time(I grew up in a household that always had some sort of music playing Rolling Stones, Sex Pistols, Clash, Beatles , Irish music)
1) Kiss Alive. My father gave it to me because I had a Kiss poster on my wall but had never heard them!
2) Black Sabbath Masters of Reality. My uncle was moving and he had stored a bunch of stuff at our house, I remember liking the cover so I "borrowed" it
3) Judas Priest Best Of. I don't remember where I go this but I do remember driving my family crazy by constantly playing it.
