Jerusalem - s/t LP

Post by tomas »

i rediscovered this 70s proto-metal gem recently.
i've started to search for this records but the original is probably too expensive :)
i know there's a cd-reissue but does anyone know if there's a vinyl reissue?

i don't think we're talking about the same record.
The Jerusalem s/t LP i'm referring to was recorded in the early seventies and was not religious.

"Reissue of brutal ahead-of-it's-time 1972 heavy as hell hard rock rarity produced by Ian Gillan. It sounds like Metallica even stole a few of these riffs!! Raw and savage guitars, just the way you like 'em!!"

I saw a copy of 'Jerusalem - Warrior' on LP recently.
This is the christian band I'm sure?

...is it any good, does anyone know? Dan?

Is it worth picking up?

The little I've heard with the Swedish, Xian band is pretty lightweight 70's rock/HR. Not my cup of blood I'm afraid. Something for Fucking Åmål maybe?

No i haven't heard Jerusalem i wish i could somewhere to find! But generally i am not too fond/keen on this light hard rock of early 80's i prefer the more late 80's bands call it Glam/Hard Rock but it's a mystery to me how i result in having again an early 80's band on vinyl:roll: :P

the s/t lp from '72 is pretty awesome, very heavy for the time. last few times it popped up on ebay it went for more than i wanted to pay. don't remember exactly how much but i'm thinking it was in the $75-100 ballpark?

Can't be of any help, but that's an absolutely brilliant album.
