The Skyturk videos on youtube have terrible music quality but the vocals sound really sick, here's one:

I agree absolutely about Wyvern-Firing First(1994) album as my favorite from Turkey.I am from Greece and i think that that very few releases from my country(and only in late 80s early 90s) can compare in my opinion with this band's release (such as Blind Justice '89 demo and Angelheart's '93 demo)

Last but not least...

The first band having a demo is Hazy Hill with 89 Murky Bedlam...
And they released 2 demos later. And in 2000 they released a cd with 3 demo and new songs 8800!

http://www.hazyhill.com/ Site is also english !

So whole discography is in one album with new songs! Great old school melodic thrash band with English vocals and good pronunciation:) And they were the first Metal band from Turkey to play abroad…

And I must confess I heard wyvern in this forum  Shame on me...

I love love love the Pentagram album Unspoken, though my copy is under the Mezarkabul name which is what they call themselves now when outside of Turkey.

First of all I’m deeply sorry to give you wrong info. Every Pentagram album is published in cd’s! And for collectors this is a live demo!

password is bunalti.com

Two live covers and you’ll see that trail blazer is a hell different at the beginning!

I think Turks were better in the 70s when they made some of the best psych/pop ever! :)
Well 70's were priceless but there're still great bands in Turkey. If you like psychodelic 70's you can check this site in English for new stuff. http://psychevanhetfolk.homestead.com/T ... ssive.html
And I can recommend new alternative sayco bands if you’re still interested…

Well first founded as Necropsy as a thrash speed metal band and published a great demo EP called Speed lessons Part1. I think they don’t have part 2 of it. Great thrash speed with a great drummer named Cevdet.

http://rapidshare.com/files/56544270/Ne ... owarif.rar

I think Cevdet is the only member for Nekropsi nowadays. And not only their name but also musical style changed a lot! Second album “Mi Kubbesi” as I mentioned before and rewieved by Noisenik is less metal but still some dark influences.

And “sayi 2” is their last album! This time the music evolved to alternative and psychodelic rock. I think Roihlem listened the last one. Cause in Mi Kubbesi there’s no vocals… Strange route for a band just reminding me of Anathema…

Sorry I couldn't completed the report and writing in parts but I’m still diggin’…

Darkphase another thrash band with good synth: http://www.darkphase.net/v2/index.html
Their recent 2007 album is under download page there. It’s a mediocre album with 2 English lyrics. 4th song is a great instrumental with a great Turkish art music melody and I recommend it for Stormwitch’s Rondo A la Turca lovers:) Also their first speed metal album is downloadable…

Thanks a lot for the writing and the uploading. I've got a couple of Pentagram albums, but that's far as it went with knowledge of the Turkish scene for me. Enlightening and interesting stuff.
I know I ain't doing much,
doing nothing means a lot to me.

By the way, weren't HAZY HILL the band that opened for MAYHEM (the True) when they played their infamous shows in Turkey in 1990 ?
Gott ist tot.

yes, skyturk are quite excellent! the demo "phantasm or real?" is quite good. my friend likened it to morbid saint - not sure if i'd go that far, but its still pretty good. i can upload it in a few days, as i'm going home for the holidays

i've been searching for a demo by a band "hornet cunt" (possibly "horned cunt" - i've seen conflicting reports) called "condemned in cunt" for quite some time now. looks pretty gutterish carcass style grind based on the cover and the song titles, but fuck, the song titles are hilarious!

http://www.dnadeath.org/dna/bands/h/horned_cunt.asp

also been searching for the diabolic yard demo too, only recently confirmed its existance

Do you know a hard rock/heavy metal mand called Devil ?
It seems they released two albums: Devil I (1987) and Devil II (1998)

It seems quite strange they released their 2nd album (never seen an original cover...just some homemade artwork made with photoshop) ater 11 years from the 1st.
Maybe the first album was released in 1997 and not in 1987.
But there isn't any info on the net.

I got both album but I have no idea who they are. Not bad.

I know Devil, hard rock band w a great keyboard player. But 2nd album was never released imo. Perhaps at last it is?

From the blog Colde Epis great, their style is technical thrash. For brutal vocal lovers I recomend Asafated EP's. And Disgrace... The other bands' info is in the topic

Nops there is not any official second album. Maybe what you have as Devil II is something fake ? This days they reformed and this incarnation feat Ersin the guitar player of Undermost (tech/death). Will ask him for more infos anyway.

To the best of my knowledge, EBONSIGHT were the first all female Black Metal band ever. http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/Ebonsight/19949

In the mid 1990s I was pen friends with one of the members who had sent me their first demo. The band moved from Turkey to the UK and then disappeared.

I have no idea what is that Devil II (that I deleted by the way).
As I told you I have no information at all about this band. I found those two rips on a turkish website 2-3 years ago: the covers were clearly made recentely for a digital release as they were a quick photoshop job.

I kept Devil I as it was said to be released in 1987 and I deleted Devil II because it was said to be released in 1998, that was over my time limits collection (1992).

Then I wondered why an unknown band should release its second album after 11 years....so I supposed it could have been an unreleased album.

I am trying to find it again but I can't....I see both listed in many turkish websited (Devil I and Devil II) but there are no more sources available for download....
