The movement itself i would say 1979-1984 (including) with several exceptions (musicwise) of bands that were ahead of their time but couldn't be more known because what was fashionable was to play Punk Rock (Agony Bag, Urchin,Samson, etc) and after that period it would be more credible to call it post-NWOBHM specially because some old identity was lost (some bands started playing AOR, others Melodic Hair-Metal,etc like Idol Rich) but some bands also released what perhaps should be called as "late NWOBHM" for not being able to record something earlier (sometimes a lack of a steady line-up,etc) like the marvellous 1986 Demo of RAM.

I seem to recall hearing that demo before. It's the same Ram that appeared on the first Rock Meets Metal comp right?

Yep. Same band. "Eternal Grave" is the 3rd track of the demo (not sure though if it was recorded on a different studio session - perhaps exclusively for this Compilation)....
