Wow, I see plenty of '80s Scorpions bootlegs, but very few from the '70s. That must be some killer collection you have there...

Haha, that Action cover is one of the heaviest things ever.

Heavily recommended.

Other Abysmal Sounds releases are well worth checking out also, especially those by Armoured Angel, Innsmouth, Demons Gate and Murkrat.

Yep, Kriss Hades broke his hand on that tour - punching Dave Slave!! Anyone stuck in a tour bus with Dave would probably consider doing the same.

Rok a tranny? Hahaha, I don't think so...

Is Peavy Wagner from Rage related to the composer Richard Wagner?
He's probably related to Wagner Antichrist.

I found 'Trick or treat' to be pretty cool in a trashy/cheesy '80s kinda way. User 'Sammi Curr' will obviously have an opinion on that movie... Not a movie, but you can add 'Bad News' to the list of quality non-documentary representations of heavy metal. And other films with heavy metal/hard rock fi...

The Hammerhouse was THE place to go in Sydney back in the mid-90s. Brad Sims pretty much drove the local scene with that store, Warhead Records, In Your Face magazine and all the shows he put on. Last I heard he was living up the north coast and more or less removed from the metal scene. He was a re...

I forgot about Repressed Records and Beatdisc. They're both still going as far as I know. Repressed used to be out at Penrith but are now based in Newtown (much closer to the city). Beatdisc are still in Parramatta as far as I know. There used to be another couple of second hand stores in Parramatta...

Well, firstly, you've picked a great place to go for a holiday. There is plenty to do in and around Sydney, but not a lot related to heavy metal. The main heavy metal store in the city is Utopia Records but they don't have much good music for sale and the prices are very steep. There are a few other...

To me, Demon, a bit like Witchfynde, are more disappointing than out and out bad. I mean, they have the dark, mysterious song titles/lyrics that get you expecting something amazing and heavy but then the music generally ends up being really bland. Both bands at least managed a couple of standout, me...

War and Pain all the way. Not too fussed with later albums, but always respected the conceptual intentions of the band.

Maybe someone should start a Celtic Frost poll if you really wanna find out how many people like 'Cold lake'.
