Re: The Corroseum bands
I think it's time to resurrect tho thread a bit... So here's the "band" (consisting only me on guitars and a drummer at that moment) I play in. We've recorded a couple of instrumental tracks so far and struggling to find additional members (singer and bass player). Anyway if anyone gives a...

They weren't nationalistic during 80s though.whiteravenmetal wrote:The Korrozia Metalla lads are what you are looking for

Re: Requests
I remember I was reading somewhere about Savage Death rehearsal feauturing some exclusive songs which never appeared anywhere. Apparently it was recorded in 1986 or so. Does anyone know anything about this?

Re: Hungarian metal - a recommendation thread
Great compilation, thanks! That Ippolit Matvejevics song almost sounds like some modern days black metal

Well, I am not that much into hardcore myself (esp. Japanese one) but I will check them out of curiousity.mustardgasattack wrote: Maxim are you familiar with the Japanese band The Execute? They sound insanely similar.

Don't know if it was posted earlier
Óceán from Hungary - gig from 1979 (audio only) - probably most metal stuff you may find in 70s Eastern Europe:

Prisoner - pre-Brocas Helm band from late 70s. Taken from some TV-show

You may say Blast started mixing 'em before both were invented

Re: Closest to '76-'78 Priest you may get???
"few" would indicate more than one, so quoted for untruth since only "Last Rose Of The Summer" could be considered weak (...though personally I still love it for the ambiance and giving the album some light & shade) Well, I'd say Raw Deal also weaker than the rest of the LP-...

Re: Closest to '76-'78 Priest you may get???
This here should be stuff, Maxim is looking for. Most of the songs on the album sound like stuff from the "Sad Wings" Era. METAL!!!! Wow, that's pretty great. Sounds to me closer to Mercyful Fate however, but still closest of all three bands which were poste...

Agree, but I've never said that I dislike Bay Area thrash or NWOBHMrumblefist wrote: I guess with your disliking on Bay Area Thrash or NWOBHM we just have distinct musical tastes.

Re: Closest to '76-'78 Priest you may get???
Deeply disagree. Nowadays is trendy to like that 70's thing and to dig all those obscurities of Psych/Prog/Hard. Well, I never really liked bands which certainly fall into these categories, so that what I love about early Priest albums - there is certainly clear prog/hard influence, but at the same...

Re: Closest to '76-'78 Priest you may get???
For me their best is still the Killing Machine album. Even better than the ones you refered as there's not that 70's feeling anymore. It's 100% made of Steel and 1 of the biggest references for the 80's. Closest you can get is this early texas metal 7'' (1979) : Well,...
