Re: Most wanted official cd re-issues?
A nice anthology of all the vintage Chasar demo recordings & session(s) would certainly be a nice addition to my colection.

Re: Is It Really Metal?
As easy as it can sometimes be to romanticize the 'good old days', when it came to purchasing records it really was a perilous time. I recall a particularly painful mistake i made around 1980/81 as a callow youth scouring the racks of my local record store for something vaguely metallic & cheap ...

Re: Shakespeare
I'm surprised some enterprising label hasn't compiled those great Swedish 45s of yesteryear. It still seems an oddly overlooked scene, particularly when almost anything heavy from the '80s was getting the anthology CD treatment a few years back. Having said that, it may be that the old Swedish scene...

Re: Recent Metal Finds (2016)
If you like the Zeke 'Death Alley' style, give Speedtrap's 'Straight Shooter' a try.

Re: Metal hunting in Amazon
I have to hold my hands up here. I genuinely thought this was gonna be a post about Metal hunting in the actual Amazon. I confess I was a little disappointed not to be reading about an encounter with some lost tribe of indigenous headbangers who worship Cronos as a deity, and sacrifice posers on an ...

Re: I swear I heard another song with the same vocal line
Sorry, i was only joking. I meant the melody & rhythm of the vocal line in the song which you provided reminded me in general of 1980's Eurovision song contest entrants, rather than anything specific. A bit cheesy, in other words.

Re: "DemoLition" - forthcoming book on 80's demos
Plantweed, a few years back there used to be a member of this board called 'Boris' who had a large collection of original NWoBHM demos. Over the course of his sleuthing he had amassed a lot of information & contacts including many original band members. He's no longer active here, but he could b...
