I can totally understand why people don't like stuff like Cirith Ungol and Slauter Xstroyes, even though I worship those bands. They are acquired tastes, they did things that were very original and don't sound very conventional, so that music will put people off. Also, it will make some people love ...

Lee Aaron playing at the Heavy Sound Fest. Everyone who attended that fest can still remember her red spandex pants !!! http://web.telia.com/~u22604655/leepoperinge85.jpg If nothing else, then I have to concur for reasons of nostalgia. I used to have a Lee Aaron poster over my bed while still livin...

A record store in the nearest town where I grew up went out of business around 1986-87. It was a tiny shop, but they had lots of European metal. They had a sale and were selling a case of vinyl for around €200. I don't remember the exact contents (none of those LPs were rare at the time, obviously),...

A guy I know got robbed of his whole collection of mostly 70s and early 80s hard rock, prog and folk. They broke into his home and took NOTHING else than records. Must have been organised - you'd need the right transport and someone to take the stuff off your hands. He had 15000+ titles.

I order from Rockadrome time and again. They release some good stuff on the label (like Mark of the beast) and are reliable. The bootlegs thing is disappointing. Do you have any examples of boots in the shop? Great shop, from time to time I put some orders there, the prices are okay IMO. A big plus ...

Takk for det Dan. Have listened to this a bit lately, and it's quite interesting. Hell, some of it is even very good.

While I'm of the firm belief that Maiden haven't done anything really worthwhile in the studio for many years, they very rarely fail to deliver on stage. Even lesser songs are OK when they perform them live, and they give everything. A pity the only place to see them in Norway never has good sound f...

I voted the first for nostalgic reasons mainly. Me and a friend used to liste to stuff like Picture and other European metal 45s at 33, 'cos there just wasn't enough doomy metal around. This was most probably around 1983-84.

Thanks a lot for this. Never heard it before, but am really looking forward to it. Makes me rue neglecting to buy so much Swedish metal in the 80s, when I actually had the chance

I've seen these a few times before, with different covers actually. Of course they're made to show off, but it's the same kind of showing off I like to do as well, so I say they're a good thing. There are some good tunes on those things. Edit: and still no one has done anything about the error on n...

Price isn't too bad considering this is a Scandinavian site. My local record store has most CDs at about 22-25 Euros. No bad intent aimed, dude. Living in Norway is pretty expensive from what I read. I also read that Oslo has overtook Tokyo in the category of most expensive cities. Comparing 17.95 ...
