Upcoming reissues: Cloven Hoof - Dominator/A Sultan's Ransom Manimals - Studies in Scarlet: 1982-2007 As for new releases, I'm looking forward to new ones from Wintersun, Stormwarrior, Asmegin, Eluveitie, Excelsis, Hollenthon and Septic Flesh, but I doubt anyone else here would want to hear most of...

That Parabellum video rules! Man a lot of the talk about HELL on the first page is making me even more anxious to hear ALL of their stuff! I will just have to sit tight and wait for that Miskatonic release. That Miskatonic box set has either been delayed or cancelled. Apparently the band is back to...

This is certainly a good one! I can't resist that Celtic metal riffing. Is the band Irish?

Does someone has the following demo for upload?: SEVERE WARNING: Death To False Metal (1987) The song "It's not easy to be the Antichrist" on the Satan's Revenge comp. blows my mind, it's awesome!!! I've never heard of this band, but with a song title like that, I definitely want to hear ...

I love the Scorpions stuff from the '70s, especially In Trance and Taken By Force. Other favorites: Rainbow - Long Live Rock 'N Roll Heavy Load - Full Speed at High Level (is this proto-metal or real metal? If it wasn't for "Caroline" and "Rock and Roll Freak" I'd say this was th...

Could you be a little more specific? There are five bands named Sorcerer listed at Metal-archives.com.

Re: Folksy/ethnic/exotic… -ish?

Get a bad feeling in your stomach when you hear the words “Folk Metal”? No way, I love the stuff. But I can't think of many Corroseum-appropriate folk metal bands besides the obvious (Slough Feg, early Amorphis). There's a new band from Ireland called Darkest Era (formerly Nemesis). They're kind of...

Thunderway - The Order Executors and Ninja - Invincible. There are also some that I first heard of from Dan's reviews, like Coven - Worship New Gods, Danger Zone - Victim of Time and Manimals - Blood is the Harvest.

I got the new Gamma Ray CD and I've listened to it about a dozen times. I think that even though it doesn't live up to their usual high standards, it's definitely a good album. The title is pretty lame, though. The lyrics don't have anything to do with the original Land of the Free... this one isn't...

I don't think he's that bad, but he's not that great either. But aside from that, he joined that shitty cartoon metal band Dethklok, so how can we respect him?

The address listed at his band's website is BattleProd@t-online.de. He also runs the Manilla Road website, and his address listed there is neuderth@debitel.net. Hopefully one of those works.

I don't think Jacula is metal, but the riffs are a lot more metal than anything I've heard from '70s Sabbath. You don't know metal. Why do you say that? Plenty of other people that posted in this thread said that Jacula's riffs were heavier than just about anything recorded in the '70s, so do they ...
