Re: opinions about the old French metal scene

Barely mentioned on this forum but the HOLSTER demo lp is a must-buy in my book.

Is the TRIDENT anthology on No Remorse worth getting? Any opinions?

Not sure about that though I really dig the 7" and always wanted to hear more from them.

YES !

Can't say it's absolutely essential but the XS reissue on Cameleon Records is worth getting for the excellent 3-tracks MLP alone. Demo and 7" are decent yet forgettable.

Re: Your TOP 5 unsigned/"7inch only" NWOBHM bands who had potential to release a "classic" album

Talking about Harvest Moon, last summer I did an interview with Glynn Porrino about the band: http://www.sacredmetal.de/board/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=13021&start=45#p542607 (scroll down) Nice read. Thanks Another worthy mention: HAMMERHEAD . Superb 7". Killer compilation track "Lochin...

Re: Your TOP 5 unsigned/"7inch only" NWOBHM bands who had potential to release a "classic" album

MENDES PREY is obvious choice. TYRANT too of course (I used to dislike their 7" for years, for whatever reason...... ) Good to see some love for DAWNWATCHER and HARVEST MOON. Need to check ARC again (and RED HUNTER, which I've never heard of) but from what I remember of their single, the b side...

Your TOP 5 unsigned/"7inch only" NWOBHM bands who had potential to release a "classic" album

The « Best/Favorites NWOBHM LPs» thread put me in a NWOBHM mood again and I was thinking about "demo/7inch only" bands of that period who had the potential to release at least one album full of classic material, with no fillers I mean. When you really think about it, there are not so many ...

Re: Best-Favorite NWOBHM LPs ?

'Spellbound' is the TYGERS album I always meant to spend more time playing and just never have gotten around to. In my own case, "Spellbound" is one of my most played record ever. The talented voice of John Deverill and the amazing guitar work of John Sykes... enough said. Sadly "Cra...

Re: opinions about the old French metal scene

It's sold out. Glad I got my ticket

By the way, the headliner is supposed to be announced soon. H-BOMB or SORTILEGE.... hey I can dream

Curious to see Square as well. Their debut on Devil's Records is such an underrated piece of french metal/hard rock.

Digging through the Corro-vaults, I couldn't resist: How do fare DESOLATION ANGELS on your playlists these days, that is, 11 years later? The Valhalla 7": all the time! The LP: from time to time. That's all I got from Desolation Angels... Never heard the rest and it's probably a mistake from m...

It's their less memorable album for sure. I feel I won't listen to it that much. Still a great album of course, and very emotional as one can expect...

I'm pretty sure it wasn't in English either, but I can't remember what it was. Maybe someone else on here knows.
Not exactly the same but reminds me a bit of Bollweevil's "Sand of Time"
