Re: Unknown NWOBHM demos and "demo only" bands
Here's one that was too early to be NWOBHM, some members were from Barbados, Luv Machine: http://www.spirit-of-metal.com/les%20goupes/L/Luv%20Machine/pics/f987_1.jpg http://www.spirit-of-metal.com/les%20goupes/L/Luv%20Machine/pics/630b_3.jpg Some info on the band: https://music.meo.pt/artist/luv-mac...

Anti-communist metal (1980s)
This song, whose title can be translated as "The Train without a Ticket Controller" was supposedly a metaphor about how great it would be without Ceausescu: This song questions Communist Party cultural commissions, who decide what is artistic and what is unac...

Re: is the 2017 High Roller Records reissue of Wolf's Edge Of The Wolrd an official reissue?
reason why i'm asking this is cause i looked at Metal Archives one day and saw it's being listed as Unofficial. there are times where Metal Archives gets their facts wrong (it was modified by some fucking unknown user). so i want to know if there is any truth to it being a unofficial reissue. most ...

Re: Recent Metal Finds (2016)
Nothing particularly rare or worth a lot: vinyl-metal.JPG That Mozaika album is progressive rock, gets harder and post-apocalyptic towards the end. What strikes me about these bands is that they are very political, even the demon in the album title of the bottom album is an "atomic demon"....

Re:
The band who Ashbury remind me most of is The Outlaws, from the guitar sound to the vocals. Check out their epic track "Green Grass & High Tides". It took me several years to figure out and I missed this post, but this is very true. Musically very similar in most of the songs, except ...

Re: Specific Hardcore-punk/ Metal bands
Civilised Society? Type it in youtube, their first two albums come up first. The first one has 4 or 5 punk songs, the rest metal, the second is metal with Crass type vocals in parts (apparently they also had a 3rd album and some demos). Also thought some of the Vice Squad sounded a bit metal, especi...

The Best Metal Covers of Non-metal Songs
I've heard several metal versions of "Eleanor Rigby", mostly boring, but this one is awesome:

Mexican Metal
I don't know a whole lot about it, but I found an interesting site: http://www.angelfire.com/rock3/metalmexicano/rock.html In particular I was looking for stuff by Zebra (or maybe Zebra 3 is their name). Apparently they also have a live tape besides what's mentioned on that site, perhaps another alb...

Also, the Blood which is a punk band appeared on a NWOBHM comp with this great song, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYu9HsTfjeY That's really interesting, because I have a friend who likes black metal and really likes this song, but doesn't really listen to punk: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEZa...

Where to buy NWOBHM badges/pins and patches?
I just started wearing my leather motorcycle jacket again recently, for the first time in this century, but it is kind of beat up and want to put stuff on it. I have some spikes I'll put in to cover some holes where spikes used to be, but I am looking for NWOBHM badges/pins/buttons/whatever you want...
