Re: The new BLACK HOLE album ("Evil In The Dark")
So, the album was posted complete on youtube and it's as fucking terrible as I feared. I can't believe this got a legitimate release and even positive reviews. I feel like I must be living in some sort of parallel reality because this is in the level of Wheelz of Steel, but without any of the charm ...

If we go by the pictures on MA, you seem to be right. I'm gonna use this as an excuse to give Timeghoul another chance. I couldn't get into them back when there was some hype about the release of the anthology back in the day.

Re: Metal made by black musicians
Oh yeah, they were founded in the early 1990s, but have a history going back to the 1980s under a different name... Well, when I bumped the thread I mentioned I wasn't interested in being as strict as the original poster as in the time period, only that they'd fit the profile of this website and bu...

Re: Metal made by black musicians
Well, luckily there was no boogie but it just never really picked up. The only real standouts for me were Lightning Man and Losing Out on You. The rest was just passable background music.

Re: Metal made by black musicians
I think that Bloodshot Eyes (UK) fits perfectly here. I had never heard of them. I'm checking them out right now, sounds pretty good, if not all that heavy. I like the melancholic vibe and there's no boogie crap so far, so that alone makes it much more interesting than 90% of obscure "NWOBHM&q...

Re: Metal made by black musicians
Bumping this because I've been delving into this stuff lately, so I wanted to see if there were any new recommendations from more savvy people. I know the OP was specific about the 80s, but I'd be interested in any sort of bands and albums that would fit this site's profile, even if they're more mod...

Re: A database of lost inserts - new site feature!
As requested in the Missing Inserts-thread on The Corroseum Forum, a H-BOMB insert has been added to The Missing Inserts-section (courtesy of Khudh!), plus a bunch of my own work: LEGEND (UK), IRONCROSS, NME POSSESSED, TÖRR, CELTIC FROST and DESTRUCTION - the 3 last ones technically being posters(!...

Re: Greek Heavy Metal?
I just wanted to add that Kingdom of the Kings is one the best albums I've discovered in the past few years. You can play it as many times as you want and it never gets old, you just keep changing your favorite track with every few plays, like it happens with all great records.

Thanks for this & the other two comps. Will you be uploading the Trizna tracks from Cabilla as well? Hm.. If I find the time. One of the tracks (and plenty other) can be downloaded here: http://metalrus.ru/groups/78/post-view/18891 It's nice to hear how well the S.O.S. cover works without doing...

Re: The Metal Compilopedia
One more thing I found.
In the track by track review here https://thecorroseum.org/comps/streetwise2.html it lists the Morgue track as simply "Tales", when you can see in the back cover scan that the actual title is "Tales of Despair".

A little heads up: You typed Holy Moses as "Holy Terror" in the entry for the "Terminal Terror" album, on the WVR page.

Re: Freakshow (US) - two demos
Thanks a lot for these. I found the first demo to be rather bland and boring but the second one is a vast improvement. When I heard the guy say "Booooy" on that track I immediatly thought of the Tall Man from Phantasm and there you go, it's a song about that movie, so extra props to the si...
