LOL at these stories. This must be one of the best threads in corroseum  I agree, some great tales here. I actually had a really weird dream the other night which i think was influenced by one of the stories i read in this thread. I was being chased by someone i couldn't see through dark deser...

Cochino wrote:Either I missed it, or nobody mentioned Black Hole's "Land Of Mystery". I think there's enough psychedelic elements to include it here as a reccomendation.
Thanks for the tip Cochino, i'm not familiar with them at all, i'll give it a try.

Yeah, I liked the metal parts, but then the funky bits were kinda... I don't know, just not my thing really, hehe. But of course I'll give it a few more chances. Yeah, it must be difficult to get a handle on us at first listen. And we're definitely not to everyone's taste. There's a bit less "...

Yeah, i know the Bang stuff, good band.
Have you heard Falcon's version of "Red Man"?
It almost improves on the original.
I appeciate all the suggestions folks, thanks very much, but does anyone know of any more modern Heavy bands with a psychedelic edge?

I'll probably get shouted down for this, but i'm loving "Nothing In Return (Walk Away)" from the latest DOWN album.
Atmospheric stuff.

Well, I heard Bigfoot and it is way too experimental for me, sorry. And I listened to Pessimus a few more times and it started to grow into me, I'm starting to like it!!! Am I the only one giving some kind of feedback? C'mon, this wasn't supposed to be a promotional thread, there's the "Cold L...

Okay Cochino, you asked for it. Here's my band's 4 song EP from 2004, the finest Scottish Heavy Metal/Hard Rock/Punk/Psychedelia/Stoner/Prog Rock you'll ever hear. No problem, i have more hard-to-find albums that are closer to the sound that is referred as 'crossover', if you're a fan of the genre there are some albums you can still check out: IMPECCABLE, TAILGUNNER, ALKANA (maybe it is already up), WHITE BOY AND THE AVERAGE RAT BAND etc. If you need anything...

It is of the same standard, but not all as psych as Bomb Day. It has a really raw sound and the guitar is buried(12 feet under) in the mix. I read a few online reviews that complained about the poor sound quality of the album, so i don't know whether to part with my hard earned cash for this one, m...

I think that perhaps your very honest and accurate assessment of the album maybe scared some listeners away from it.
The good songs are really good though, so i'd say it was still a very worthwhile post, my thanks again for upping the album.

It's a good idea, dunno if my band is really Corroseum material though. I'm the singer in a band called BIGFOOT, but while Metal is certainly part of what we do, so is Hard rock, Psychedelia, Punk, Funk etc. I don't wanna get run out of town by angry torch weilding villagers for diluting the "t...
