I'm a bit late, but I'll give my opinions anyway. 1. CROM: Wasteland (Spain) Never heard. 2. VORTEX: Open The Gates (Hol) Never understood the praise this one gets. Very mediocre heavy metal in my ears and not an original idea in sight. Sorry, but I just don't get it. 3. DARK QUARTERER: "Same&q...

I cast a vote for Night of the Blade actually. I know the vocals aren't all that great, but I suppose it has something to do with the fact it's the first TB album I heard (back when it first came out). The first album is great too, but there are some filler songs on it that make me put Night of the ...

What a pity (or what stupidity) I didn't get a ticket for KIT IX. Argh.

(Anyone got a spare...?)

Price isn't too bad considering this is a Scandinavian site. My local record store has most CDs at about 22-25 Euros.

I have never owned any of the Black Angels stuff, but if you go to this forum: http://www.screammagazine.com/modules.php?name=Forums and ask for it there, I know there are people on there who knew the guys in the band. Maybe you could even find copies for sale? Edit: I found this thread on that site...

For all people from EU countries, this place has the album. http://www.cdon.com/ For what it's worth though, my first impressions were very negative. I just hated it, but I loved the first two and the Kuusniemi album, so I'm going to listen to it again. There's a modern element that just comes over ...

I've had some dealings with him. A pity he isn't releasing any more stuff. Very nice guy.

I have the early 90s re- of the Stonehouse Creek hard rock album from the early 70s. The CD actually goes for almost the same as the original vinyl nowadays ($100+). A great album.

I can only second what's written here - it's an album you should definitely have. I feel that band was a bit atypical of NWOBHM as they sounded a little American. There is a strong hint of the typical epic US metal about it, though there is still a strong NWOBHM feel.

Celelalte Cuvinte were kind of a progressive hard rock band, with some metallic moments but also some very 70s moments. At least the stuff I've heard of them.

That IceCross album is really cool, but then I generally like 70s stuff. Has anyone here heard the album called "Andrew" made by one of their members a few years later?

Turbo (Poland)

Just had to post this to say thanks a lot for praising those Turbo albums to Dan. They are indeed every thing he says about them in that review on the site, and the best thing is they were very easy to find too. Did not have to pay a lot and the albums are great. Again, thank you Dan. topic edited/a...

The first DQ album is essential. It has such a great atmosphere and the song writing is great. The second IMO isn't really as great, but if you really dig the first one, you need that too. Violence was a great let down for me. I never got into it, though I will probably play it a few more times to s...
