Re: The Best Metal Covers of Non-metal Songs

The Realm, Anacrusis and Voivod covers are up there for sure! Speaking of Eleanor Rigby, the awesome proto-Epic Metal band Thunderpussy did a cover of that in 1973 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KyUXV6ioho I have always adored Slough Feg's cover of Dearg Doom: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5n3oZy...

Re: Industrial Metal

My experience with this subgenre is next to none: I heard a Godflesh song in a radio many years ago and did not like it at all. I like Bloodstar, that is labelled as industrial, but I am not certain whether it actually belongs here. To me it sounds like if Hawkwind switched to playing speed/thrash,...

Queensryche - NM 156

What a fanastic song, along with some of the more involved songs on Night on Bröcken Progressive Metal starts here. But thematically this is even more in line with was to come than Fates Warning were. Brilliant! PUNCH, PUNCH, PUNCH!
