I did an interview with James when he was in Belgium with Sabbath Judas Sabbath (end 2010), and brought up the idea of a vinyl version of the album. He said that it was already in the works. No further info was given though. Okay, Lama, thanks for the info. Nobody has contacted me, Dan DeLucie or B...

Hmm, the album version of "Idle City / The Fortress Unvanquishable" is either not on the server or linked wrongly. At least it provides encouragement to seek out an original copy. Thanks for the heads-up, Ernest! I've fixed the link. Try downloading "Fortress" again. ;) One of t...

Destiny's End - Transition & Rarities

A controversial blog entry! Joe Floyd's original mix of the second Destiny's End album, Transition, along with the sordid story behind the music. Here's the link: http://unvanquishablefalcon.blogspot.com/2010/11/destinys-end-transition-joe-floyds-mix.html . Also, a batch of 4 ultra-rare Destiny's En...

Well, it goes without saying that I'm a massive metal fan and vinyl collector, ya know? Sure, I'm spreading the word about my own past bands here, but metal runs deep in my veins. ;)

Destiny's End Live Boot

Just posted a quality crowd recording of Destiny's End live in San Francisco, May 15, 1999 with a bit of background behind the gig and the tour we did with Nevermore and Iced Earth. Here's the link to the blog entry: http://unvanquishablefalcon.blogspot.com/2010/11/destinys-end-live-in-san-francisco...

No prob! It seems a lot of old technical metal bands are now getting noticed by younger fans of the style and reuniting. I'm not talking about reunions or anything here. Just want to share the tunes with people who never had the opportunity to hear in the early 2000s.

Artisan - 2002 Demo/EP (L.A. Prog/Death/Thrash)

I've posted MP3s of the 2002 Artisan demo/EP and a live bonus track (our cover of Death's "Pull the Plug") on a blog with a bit of history behind the band. Artisan flew under the radar for a lot of folks back in the early 2000s. If technical/prog metal is your cup o' tea, you might dig the...

Chuck Schuldiner (Death) Interview, Nov. '91

Pleased to share an extremely rare interview with the late, great guitarist/vocalist Chuck Schuldiner (Death, Control Denied) from Cincinnati, Ohio, on the InHUMAN tour, Nov. 16, 1991. The interview was conducted by Brian Harris (then drumming for a band called Decay) and Randy Gaines for the public...

Destiny's End on Vinyl

No I can confirm it wasn't. Back when this cd was getting ready to be released I went down to L.A. to see DESTINY'S END play with Flotsam and I think I saw Fates Warning around the same time. Anyway Perry & I went to the Metal Blade offices and while I was there I asked Slagel if they were doin...
