Re: The Metal Compilopedia – Now a database!

That's the one. According to http://www.reindeergroup.org/Reindeer_Records.html both the comp and the single were released in December 1987, otherwise I probably would have done a review of Rock-Off 87 too.

Re: The Metal Compilopedia – Now a database!

The "High Intensity Discharge" CD (i think there is a difference between the US edition and the dutch edition for this relase - but not 100% sure) I think the only difference is the cover: the version I have lists tracks by Spooky Tooth and Soft Machine but they are in fact the same Tryax and Legge...

For what it's worth, I saw them at F&F last year and they were amazing! Hoping to catch them again at Defenders.

Re: Recent Metal Finds (2016)

I haven't posted here in ages, but here is a sampling of some of the things I've bought recently (well, in the last year anyway). http://i1311.photobucket.com/albums/s675/metalkeir/IMG_3994_zpsjy5jjsbs.jpg The Steel Breeze single was a pleasant surprise. Not calling it metal, but the B-side is a str...

I don't love it or hate it. It's definitely interesting and there are some great parts when I'm in the mood for something strange but typically it's not an album I'm likely to listen to.

Re: The Metal Compilopedia – Now a database!

I have the Sunab comp and can put together a review. This one prohably does not fit due to the massive Hardcore overload but at least the Wrecking Crew trax are pretty much more Thrash (Metal) than Hardcore. I remember seeing them at quite a few local thrash shows back in the day. No one seemed to k...

Strange that with all those bonus tracks it still doesn't include "Sara" from the Mountain Of Metal comp.

Re: LADYKILLERS from vintage Kerrang!

Yes, the NY/NJ one. And because it wasn't confusing enough there was also another Pantera from Detroit.

The Ohio Pantara released one 7":
