Re: Malaysia/Singapore Metal (...and vinyl)
Looking forward to hear some feedback on the samplers btw + also the Kingdom In Rock upload (lookin' at u Graham  ) When time allows i'll be sure to do so, but so far i've not had time to hear a note of these new uploads as i'm currently wading through a bunch of recent purchases whilst also ...

Re: Malaysia/Singapore Metal (...and vinyl)
DaN, i've barely dipped my toe into this feature so far, but i can already see it's due a huge doff of the hat for it's scope, completeness & attention to detail. Fantastic work. Kudos are also due to you for the line, "shave off the layer of corporate bullshit", which put a huge grin ...

Re: Your Top Wantlist Items
Not much, only singles... If anyone has one for sale or knows where to find a copy, I would be very grateful if you contact me. Disciple - I Wanna See 'Em There/Foot Of The Cross 7" I realize you're looking for an original, but this Disciple anthology released last year compiles the 45 with th...

Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG Podcast : Episode 24 Now Available!
Thanks for explanation, Graham. Of the rest of selection, this MADISON AVENUE really do it for me, but it is probably the only track that is this good? Or not? Re TAMARISK, I found it interesting that they actually had a demo tape, as a folk band. Re MARI HAMADA: I don't see connection there, but I...

Re: Malaysia/Singapore Metal (...and vinyl)
After 2+ years and a crazy (though arguably sporadic) amount of work, I'm finally done with The Next Big Thing: Malaysia/Singapore Metal promo vinyls - The complete* 1985-1992 guide ...because someone eventually had to do it. This update also includes 18 longer reviews added to the rare Metal vinyl...

Re: "Did I hear that right?!"
I just pulled out the lyric sheet again, and it's supposed to be "Evil Invaders! Death deception in the night!". There's no way he actually sings that. There aren't that many syllables there. It possibly might be "Incense..." though. :D Completely agree, there's no way those off...

Re: "Did I hear that right?!"
In Razor ”Evil Invaders”, first line of chorus, I hear ”Evil invaders! Incest in the night!”. I'm pretty much convinced that IS the actual lyric. Whatever it was the lyric sheet said, it didn’t fit at all. Haha, I always heard "Evil Invaders! Incense in the night!". Your interpretation is...

Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG Podcast : Episode 24 Now Available!
I remember this German Life, as Steven Cannon used to have ra files on his page. I found Tao Chemical on RYM, but I fail to see how they "were" punk band. I remember that you featured the other Tamarisk on your blog, but about these I wonder what were they labeled as. Folk? HR? HM? Based ...

Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG Podcast : Episode 24 Now Available!
Ah, Janus! I'm aware of that lp but have not actually heard it. A tad expensive so I've not managed to land a copy. I've never looked into it but can imagine that originals are likely quite pricey. Depending on your tolerance for varying degrees of Pomp/Prog Rock it's a rather consistent & prof...

Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG Podcast : Episode 24 Now Available!
I see the names now, but i still know nothing of those!  These from no. 4 onwards seem to be from a parallel universe. No. 3 as well, but it's a different story. And that TAO CHEMICAL should be from 1982. OK, I allow the possibility it was recorded in some black fund financed space-bas...

Re: CULT OF THE UNDERDOG Podcast : Episode 24 Now Available!
Okay, it's been more than 2 weeks now, so here are the identities of the songs/artists from the first half of the current episode. Still time to name the last 9 songs before I post their ID's in 24 hours. 01. TED HEATH - Johnny One Note (from the 'Big Band Percussion' LP (1968)) 02. BALTIK - Leslie ...

Re: Dying Victims Productions- Revenge, Det, Armoured Knight, Atonement, Knüppelknecht
While Dying Victims Productions focuses on music releases, in a construction-related context, this could be seen as a reminder of how diverse collaborations bring unique results. Just as different bands have their own styles, every construction project whether residential, commercial, or industrial...
