Re: Insane Ebay Auctions - Vinyl, Tapes & Merch

The bargain hunting days are over, be it on ebay, discogs, record fairs or private sellers. Having some kind of encyclopedic knowledge on music, bands and pressings was such an advantage in the past. You couldn't impress girls with it, but you could at least pick out the good stuff from the heaps of...

Re: Insane Ebay Auctions - Vinyl, Tapes & Merch

It would be, but do you think sellers will list their records cheaper if they have to pay for high listing prices? They will just not list them at all. Some 15 years ago I was in a record shop in Antwerp and I overheard the following story: there was a record shop famous for their high prices. And o...

Re: Insane Ebay Auctions - Vinyl, Tapes & Merch

That is why I'm constantly pestering Discogs with requests to implement listing fees for items with prices way above the current max sold price. Without luck so far. From a Discogs point of view = more listings, even at ridiculous prices = more chances of sales = more income. They do not care if it...

Re: Insane Ebay Auctions - Vinyl, Tapes & Merch

It's down to $2000.
Another motif: he's accepting offers. Put a crazy price and your item will get attention (the proof...us talking about it). If he had put it at $500 with offers accepted fewer people would have seen it, and the chances of getting a decent offer would have been lower.

Re: Insane Ebay Auctions - Vinyl, Tapes & Merch

Too bad that won't filter out certain sellers in the marketplace daily overview messages (that's how I check if there's something from my wantlist).

Just for a good understanding: FUCK OFF SANDERSMAN for polluting those mails with ridiculous priced items DAILY for years.

https://www.discogs.com/Sabbat-Sabbat/release/3546376

Seems like the first Sabbat 7" was sold for €1200 via Discogs last month.

Re: Top 5 wants 2019

I have seen the Samael on two occasions from a guy that turns up on record fairs in the Antwerp region now and then, I'll keep my eyes open. I believe it was between 100 and 150 he was asking, but didn't check what state it was in. If he'd be willing to negotiate on the price a bit I would be willi...

Re: Top 5 wants 2019

Someone put them up on Discogs and I negotiated a deal for them (and half a dozen other records) via mail. Got to pick them up in Holland last week. Not cheap but fair prices. These have all been on my wantlist for >15 years so I don't mind paying 'the price'. D666 is getting reissued but only 350 c...

Re: Collector stuffs that weren't destined to you

Wasn't that one on Discogs (and the seller not being Mortiis)? Stuff I don't care about: test pressings, patches, signed items, letters. I have a few of each but only 'by accident'. And my own old letters disappeared in a move. Had a few from Mork (Malign/Watain) that were more like calligraphy than...

You mean Rock lion? He's pretty active on facebook, probably easier to deal with him through there. His name is Mario Heijden.

Re: 80's Metal fanzines - discussions/tips/page-feedback (CONTRIBUTORS WANTED!)

@h: Crap. Didn't notice the missing page. I checked the original and it isn't there either. At least I'll update the site about it asap.. Got none of those you asked for but plenty of other Belgian and Dutch ones still to scan. @r: This zine haul comes from a well known German old-timer, but I forg...

Re: 80's Metal fanzines - discussions/tips/page-feedback (CONTRIBUTORS WANTED!)

Some page(s?) missing in Hardcore #1? Image 13 starts with the ending on a Poison feature but I can't see the beginning. Also the X-creta feature seems to be missing. One of those guys (Kurt) still frequents underground gigs by the way. Any more Mayhem massacre's, or it's predecessor (Satan zine)? O...
