Re: Bootleg Warning Thread - LP (2013)

For frig's sake! https://www.ebay.com/itm/283272277933 What the hell? What a weird choice to do that with, not to mention it doesn't even have the sleazy charm of those old brazilian porno bootlegs. Since we're at it, a little trivia: the uncut version of the video for that track is nowhere to be f...

Re: GHOST (Sweden)

I just listened to half a song way back then and haven't felt the urge to listen to any more of their stuff until now, but it's always been fun to read all the commens about them

Re: Now Playing Thread

For the past few days, I've been listening to Valor's Fight For Your Life a lot. My second favorite discovery of the year, right after Crush's Kingdom Of The Kings.

Re: RUNNING WILD: Not-So Rapid Forays Into Their Catalog

I could only ever get into their first two LPs, Spoken like true NWN forum regular.... :P But actually, I've been more of a Corroseum regular for most of my metalhead life (I was even a mod for a while here), it's just that this place went down and rather inactive for a long time. But yeah, it...

Re: RUNNING WILD: Not-So Rapid Forays Into Their Catalog

I could only ever get into their first two LPs, so in my view, King Diamond still has the winning streak with his 2 MF LPs and first 5 KD LPs (plus MF's self titled EP and Return Of The Vampire compilation). That being said, Gates to Purgatory might be one of the catchiest metal albums ever. How tha...

In the late 70's, there was a band named COOL FEET in Luxemburg, they released an album but, if my memories are good, it was more hard-rock than metal.
Well, that's exactly what DaN mentioned in his first post :P

Re: METAL ENTERPRISES

Bumping this with a bit of trivia I just found out reading a bit about ME/Nowotny. Looks like his output turned mostly into RAC related stuff in the 90s. Well, I think DaN wrote about that. link? Perusing the M.E. label page on Discogs, I see Kahlkopf have a few releases on there, one of which is a...

Re: Cover Art You See Wrong

When I was looking at the Street Child EP cover artwork on the Internet I was convinced it was a typical fantasy art depicting a warrior standing against some medieval background. Only when I bought the re-edition did I realize it was actually a girl holding a rifle and gazing at a city in the dist...

Re: What's the Worst Bon-Era ACDC Album?

Ah, yes, I meant High Voltage of course. It's just that I had it dubbed on tape for many years but it was tagged as "TNT" so until this day I get those titles mixed up. Another of those old fart anecdotes, I guess

TNT probably for me. They were still a bit too green on that one.

Just a little detail: in this one track 5 is listed as "Luiza Empieces Otra Vez" when it should read "Quiza Empieces Otra Vez".

Re: Cover Art You See Wrong

A friend of mine had one of those reissue CDs where the cover is very dark and high contrast so you only see red and black, and unless you already know what you're looking at, it's pretty hard to figure out. None of us knew for quite a while, until we saw some band pic (I think it was Slayer) where ...
