Regarding the Heir Apparent/Sweet Sister Sam issue. That's taken from Fifth Angel's site: I e-mailed them some questions too, let's see if we can get some more info on that band... I've just received this demo from a friend. Anyone here know for sure which name they were using? Also, I've narrowed ...

Regarding the Heir Apparent/Sweet Sister Sam issue. That's taken from Fifth Angel's site: Once Fifth Angel split, both Bechtel and Macko continued to pursue music (as did Mary and Byrd), while Pilot and Archer left the music scene for careers in dentistry and technology, respectively. Other than By...

I was a big fan of Ebony, that Metallic Storm album ground down my needle I played it so much. They also had the great French band Nightmare for an album or two.

Good luck man, and anything I can find out I'll let you know.

Hi Patrick, i meant to thank you for clarifying things with the info regarding Glory Bells. I confess i cribbed the bio i posted for that album from rockdetector, (i think) and didn't double check the facts as i usually try to do where possible. Sorry to hear too of Goran Nord's premature death. Th...

I'm totally all over that Cyperus 2-CD set. I only remember the name a little bit from way back when, but after hearing their MySpace tracks I really want it! I recorded a few tunes at Triad as well so I know it's quality sounding, didn't some band that started with the letter 'Q' record there years...

Judas Priest and Testament July 22nd here in Seattle will probably be my next one. I haven't seen Priest live since 1982 so I think I should go. I just saw Paganfest and Eluveitie, Suidakra, and Ensiferum all blew me away.

I'd like to extend a formal apology on behalf of the people of Sweden for the awful vocals of Göran Nord (GLORY BELLS) and his ruining of what could at least have been a half-decent Hard Rock band         To be fair, i don't think he's too bad, i've heard mu...

which band is this?

Damn, I'd swear that looks like an early Brats or Mercyful Fate pic (L-R, King, M. Denner, H. Sherman) but Eastern European? No clue!

HELD UNDER / DISCOVERY

Thanks Sentinel! Glad you liked what you heard. For those who have downloaded some of the HELD UNDER and DISCOVERY stuff before, keep in mind that this anthology that Stormspell is releasing has 29 songs on it. It's pretty much everything we recorded between 1986-1997. Stormspell has done an amazing...
