Re: Closest to '76-'78 Priest you may get???

For me their best is still the Killing Machine album. Even better than the ones you refered as there's not that 70's feeling anymore. It's 100% made of Steel and 1 of the biggest references for the 80's. Closest you can get is this early texas metal 7'' (1979) : Well,...

Closest to '76-'78 Priest you may get???

I honestly think that Sad Wings of Destiny, Sin After Sin and Stained Class are the best albums ever made in heavy metal history (well, could be arguable about Sin After Sin since it got few weak numbers). They manage to sound 100% metal still having 70s prog rock influences, and at some points even...

Full Moon (UK) lyrics anyone?

Does anyone have the lyrics from Full Moon's self-titled LP? I guess it would probably be not that hard to transcribe the lyrics, but for a native English speaker only. Much appreciation if anyone's willing to help.

Yes, that Tröjan LP is great but somehow sounds different to me as well.

Re: NWOBHM(-like) recommendations

Maybe Charger - Desperadoes is what you are looking for. Maybe... To be honest I do not consider it to be an awesome song, it sounds a bit similar to Virtue, but it's not that good. Oh, and how about JJ's Powerhouse - Running for the line? Yes, Charger isn't that good and sounds kinda goofy. Also c...

NWOBHM(-like) recommendations

Can you suggest me good NWOBHM like Prowler (Forgotten Angel era), Traitor's Gate, Virtue? Of course it's not necessary should be a band coming from this particular era or this particular country, just anything with similar sound and vocals would be fine.

CoffinFeeder S/T album from 1987???

Recently I discovered this obscure band via metal archives and it got my attention. http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/CoffinFeeder/3540333656 An Australian death metal band formed in 1983 and released a full-length in 1987? Tried to google any info about it but almost nothing. Doubt it's a fake si...

Re: Overlooked evil demo from the 80ies?

Speaking of Eastern Euurope, I think during 80s Poland had the best death metal scene in the whole Europe. Yeah, sounds kinda surprising for a country behind the iron certain, but I really cannot think of any greater scene in Europe during that era. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_Zf77H-yYo Also b...

Re: Russian Metal Recomendations

Not really sure if it's the right thread to post in but I guess for some fans of Russian/Soviet metal (and especially Front fans) this might be quite interesting... This is E.D.S. (pre-Front) live show dating back to 21.11.1986, probably the earliest Front recordings ever made. Some songs have never...

Re: Late 80's extreme metal from Singapore

One of the most interesting scenes in my opinion. Aside from the bands already mentioned here, there are lots of obscure stuff I would love to hear some day. Messerschmidt, Crucifucktor, Necro Sadist, Cunilingus to name a few. Also check out Pantirator's demo from 1991, it's just a total ripper. Wou...
