Re: Brazilian Metal
Basically it's always a big mistake if bands try to cover known songs, since they always will fail. Especially when they try to wanna play hits of big bands. As a musician myself I'd suggest bands who have plans to do the same, let other independent people listen to it first and when they say it sou...

Re: Brazilian Metal
To me personally that Clavion LP is amoung the top 3 brazilian Heavy Metal LP's. I'm just worried a bit that whenever it comes to discussions like this NOONE ever mentions Clavion. Also Firebox's - Out of control LP might be a bit too late from 1992, but I'd call them the brazilian Motörhead with a ...

We shouldn't forget the very underrated but highly interesting albums of
Cortina Di Ferro - Temple of the darkness
Venus - same
Clavion - Beyond the frontier
Also Centurias' second LP "Ninja" features some cool Power Metal bangers.

That's a different band. Lietzow is on ex-GDR territory (Rügen island). No way these guys could have played live in 1988 in western Germany.

Re: Heavy Metal from Argentina
I wonder when you finally switch over to the spanish vinyl scene of the 80's and early 90's. It covers tons of obscure jewels of all genres from Melodic to Power Metal, either those melodic Hard Rock there nearly all was literally a class of it's own.

Re: Recent Metal Finds
End of this month german post will change postage rates once again. They said the new system will make it easier to avoid VAT trouble since the customs will be informed automatically when we (Germans) print out the shipping labels and fill out the papers of content of the parcels/packages. Unfortuna...

Re: Recent Metal Finds
It's up to the german (in my case) post if parcels would end up at customs or not. If the parcel has correct papers added that shows the VAT was already paid, the parcels will be delivered like usual. If those papers are missing or the parcel wasn't correctly announced at the customs (that's the wor...

Re: Recent Metal Finds
Except of two shown up there that I already own, the same records are some of my long time wants, but current prices are fairly ridiculous. Especially that Thatcher MLP is highly overrated (and musically doesn't deserves that high price) but comes with great artwork. If you got all in one parcel the...

Re: Lesser know 80's Doom...
Sadly no soundfile was uploaded to the www yet, but White Friday's track "Witch's cry" is archetypical and funtastic Doom Metal in the Candlemass vein.
The rest of their Demo/Cassette EP from 1987 on the other hand features just 3 ordinary Hair/Glam Metal songs.

Re: Question regarding Trojan's UK Chasing the Storm cover art
Vicente Ballestar is the artist's name. Awesome Thank you so much. Do you know the name of the illustration? No clue, it's hard to find titles for his horror illustrations that was mainly used for horror novels. Unfortunately we can't ask him anymore since he already passed away. But I must agree, ...
