Re: US only demo bands

Blacklist from Memphis (so not to be confused with the one from Milwaukee, which released "The Sign of 4") allegedly had a four song demo out somewhere in 1987 and here is one of those tracks: wmdSXbGz6h4 I do not know the other songs from that recording, but if they prove as good as this one (and, ...

Re: Obscure Czech Metal

These are all great reads, many thanks! Don't let us forget though that Toxic Trash were not a Czech band but. Many a Slovak metalhead might get really rozzúrený upon reading that. :)

Re: Cover Art You See Wrong

When I was looking at the Street Child EP cover artwork on the Internet I was convinced it was a typical fantasy art depicting a warrior standing against some medieval background. Only when I bought the re-edition did I realize it was actually a girl holding a rifle and gazing at a city in the dista...

Syberian band Contr Act sounds somewhat similar to Adramelch:

But you'd have to listen to the whole album you make up your amind about that.

Re: SIGN OF THE HAMMER or HAIL TO ENGLAND

I never liked the title track of SOTH and somehow I never got into "Guyana" either - I really don't know why it sounds so epic to some, it just pales in comparison with "Bridge of Death". So the choice is obvious. A poll would be welcome as some people are just too lazy to express their opinions in ...

Re: Heavy load/glacier/witch cross type reccomendations

Here is a band which sounds quite similar to the aforementioned ones:

Too bad this song sounds good but not outstanding. It is lacking a more memorable chorus.

Re: Genres You Got Tired Of

Thrash in my case as well, but it happened pretty recently that I grew out of it when at one point I just felt tired of monotonously aggressive music. Occasionally I listen to some Razor songs, but that's about it. Also, I used to love albums like "Campo do Extermino" and other rather low-fi black/d...

Re: What 80´s demotapes would you like to see on vinyl?

Magnus' demo tape from 1987 is an impeccable, evidently inspired by German contemporaries, piece of speed metal which deserves of reissue.

However, the band, as it seems, never cared about it, even in times when their other demos were rereleased on CDs. That's odd.

Recommendable fist-in-the-air songs

I am talking of (preferably less known) mid-tempo, straightforward tracks with haunting riffs and choruses which were never meant for moshing nor were they supposed to bring about an otherworldly feeling. Here is a couple of tracks which should make more or less clear what I am looking for: x-E1zWSW...

Re: Is It Really Metal?

I just wanted to say I hate bell bottoms. On a less trolling note, there was at least one real metal album with a cover art depicting a unicorn made by a band that was actually named Unicorn. Not humankind's greatest achievement but still it'd be a shame if someone missed that! I have a vague...

Re: Open Fire

So that demo from 89 cannot be found online? Not that I care at all as I read an interview with a band member several years ago in which he said by that time they had switched to technical thrash in the vein of Megadeth or something like this and that sounds completely not interesting to me. I have...

Also, if somebody has the '88 Demo, the other '86 Demo or the Live in Jaworzyna '89 Demo, please upload and share them, I've wanted to listen to that material since I knew of their existence.
