Was this ever posted in the "Downloads" section and I am missing it somehow or not?
I lost both of the compilations when I changed laptop, so it would be nice to have them available permanently

Re: European (Italian?) pop-rock band releasing a single metal song in the 2000s
I must admitt I am surprised to hear about the keyboard player. I was alwas aware of Pooh, but never considered them to be even remotely connected to hard(er) rock. Seems that I should give some of their earlier material a listen as soon as I can

Re: European (Italian?) pop-rock band releasing a single metal song in the 2000s
OK, I will now sound like a complete fool, but I managed to find the song (after trying for about an hour few months ago without success). Back then, I tried searching, amond many other things, "Italian" (and few other countries) and "pop rock" before, and nothing came, due to tw...

[url]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tY57TYnr9w[url] Or this? :D  hhahahah, no :) I am actually quite familiar with his output It's not I Dragoni, either. The song in question was more modern, and I think I actually prefer I Dragoni more (and Heino, for that matter). However, thank You both ...

European (Italian?) pop-rock band releasing a single metal song in the 2000s
I asked about this on another forum, but didn't receive an answer. I hope I can post this here. I know this sounds a bit vague, but I have a clear memory of a "metal songs by non-metal bands" topic (Corroseum? "Metal Archives"?) and there was a mention of a melodic heavy metal so...

Re: Help in identifying NWOBHM band
I am probably not very helpful here, but have You tried asking in "HARD ROCK / NWOBHM DETECTIVE" group on Facebook? They are quite often posting photos of lesser known NWOBHM bands. https://www.facebook.com/groups/120162115015194 I haven't. Thanks for pointing them out to me.I'll try ther...

Re: Changes in metal and hard rock popularity, community and public perception you have personally observed
Thank You all for those magnificent stories, it was a pleasure to read it. I didnt reply earlier since I didn't have anything substantial to add and I don't want to personalize the topic by answering every single post, so I waited until I have something useful to say. So, after a long time I have me...

Re: Changes in metal and hard rock popularity, community and public perception you have personally observed
I am glad to see that few of you actually took time to write your own experiences, it was a nice read. Although every story is unique and interesting, reading stories like the one that compared situation in DDR with today is simply extraordinary. Also, I completely forgot to address the topic of cov...

Changes in metal and hard rock popularity, community and public perception you have personally observed
First of all, sorry if there is a similar topic already, but I couldn't find any. One thing that has always interested me is the change of the popularity and general perception of metal music during the years, but not only on a general (worldwide) level, but also on a local, personally observed leve...

Re: What are your issues with "NWOTHM"?
I am a few days late from the opening post, but this is a topic that is of great interest for me. I have stated some of my opinions in another (recommendation) topic I have opened quite some time ago (and that is not being updated since most of my notes are on a laptop that needs repair): https://th...

Re: Late 70s/early 80s influenced NWOTHM
I think labels are extremely useful and helpful, specially on these days where there's so much stuff out there you need as much help as you can in order to decide what you're gonna spend your time and money on. You can't compare how it is now than in the 70s or early 80s, where you only had a handf...

Re: Late 70s/early 80s influenced NWOTHM
We are of a like mind LordSauron. When i was a kid getting into heavy music it was a broad church with all kinds of different influences and approaches, the rules & categorisations weren't yet set in stone & no-one was policing things to define what was tr00 or not. It wasn't a black and wh...

Re: Late 70s/early 80s influenced NWOTHM
These guys are new to me, but they've got a great sound. You can clearly hear their influences but there's enough individual character and songwriting know-how there to set them apart from most of those retro wannabes & outright imitators. Catchy, concise and melodic without ever getting sappy....
