Re: Insane Ebay Auctions - Vinyl, Tapes & Merch

I know we hijacked this thread and I apologize for that but I agree those glory days of going to a pawn shop and sifting through thousands of $.25 cent cd's is a fleeting memory and one I miss dearly. I was never a flipper or profiteer so much so that on another board I created a thread entitled the...

Re: Insane Ebay Auctions - Vinyl, Tapes & Merch

As someone who has never bought anything from Ebay or discogs, what's the point of those insanely high prices? I'm sure they know nobody's gonna pay that much. Is it just to drive attention to it? Or maybe to set some sort of precedent so they can sell it later to a much smaller but still high pric...

Re: Recent Metal Finds

Thought this find, especially since it was unearthed in a Value Village (thrift store) in Washington State (west coast) USA! was worth mentioning. Musically I rather enjoyed it, "vocally", well let's just say this may appeal to others but not this kid... Ligature-The Abolition of Guilt [youtube]http...

Re: US only demo bands

I first wish to say I love this thread! Secondly being from the Pacific NW I have a soft (well most likely hard) on/spot for any and all bands from this area. All that said I wish upon wishes that I still had the Igniter demo! Circa 1989??? ISH. Cassette only OF COURSE! NO its not even remotely asso...

Re: Flexi Discs

I have a handful, mostly promos from way back in the 80's. I have a White Wolf, Grim Reaper, Black N Blue and a few others I think. They had a clear plastic "vinyl" on a cardboard backboard with a band graphic, at least the few I have do...

Re: RUNNING WILD: Not-So Rapid Forays Into Their Catalog

Reading this makes me want to dig up and listen to those "buried treasures" (your right the puns are rather easy) and listen to this band again.

Fun read and thanks for taking the time to jot it all down.

Re: STUDZ comic & “band”

Thanks to both of you! Got 2 more songs recorded and the next strip will be out in January I believe. I’ll probably wait to release the tunes til I have at least 5. And yes Martinsane, I’ve been based out of Olympia for about 15 years now, Seattle before that. Where are you? Looking forward to what...

Re: Why Don't I Like METAL CHURCH s/t More?

I'm not tracking the "meh" feeling toward the S/T MC album. Maybe I have a little bias as the band is "local" to me but I have not listened to an album more in the past 30 some odd years and not many bring such a joy as this one does. As already mentioned the band was a force on all fronts: drums, g...
