Re: Recent Metal Finds

Thought this find, especially since it was unearthed in a Value Village (thrift store) in Washington State (west coast) USA! was worth mentioning. Musically I rather enjoyed it, "vocally", well let's just say this may appeal to others but not this kid... Ligature-The Abolition of Guilt [youtube]http...

Re: US only demo bands

I first wish to say I love this thread! Secondly being from the Pacific NW I have a soft (well most likely hard) on/spot for any and all bands from this area. All that said I wish upon wishes that I still had the Igniter demo! Circa 1989??? ISH. Cassette only OF COURSE! NO its not even remotely asso...

Re: Flexi Discs

I have a handful, mostly promos from way back in the 80's. I have a White Wolf, Grim Reaper, Black N Blue and a few others I think. They had a clear plastic "vinyl" on a cardboard backboard with a band graphic, at least the few I have do...

Re: RUNNING WILD: Not-So Rapid Forays Into Their Catalog

Reading this makes me want to dig up and listen to those "buried treasures" (your right the puns are rather easy) and listen to this band again.

Fun read and thanks for taking the time to jot it all down.

Re: STUDZ comic & “band”

Thanks to both of you! Got 2 more songs recorded and the next strip will be out in January I believe. I’ll probably wait to release the tunes til I have at least 5. And yes Martinsane, I’ve been based out of Olympia for about 15 years now, Seattle before that. Where are you? Looking forward to what...

Re: Why Don't I Like METAL CHURCH s/t More?

I'm not tracking the "meh" feeling toward the S/T MC album. Maybe I have a little bias as the band is "local" to me but I have not listened to an album more in the past 30 some odd years and not many bring such a joy as this one does. As already mentioned the band was a force on all fronts: drums, g...

Re: SIREN are back!

The new song is a dinger and the production is stellar.

Kicking myself for pulling this one out of my cart/my recent order at the last minute should have kept it in there but I had a budget and had to cut a disc.

Maybe next time the vaults are open.

Re: Stormspell: 8 NEW releases, FREE Mystery Band 1986 CD

Would love to spend a couple days (weeks) sifting through your storage unit with you, man what fun that would be. I get the moving and boxes it is daunting and exhausting. My music collection has been in boxes for going on 6 years now. I move the boxes around from time to time and crack a box open f...

Re: Band You Saw Live the Most Times

Certainly not a metal band but Kings X I have seen almost every time they have come through the Pacific NW.

A close 2nd would go to local metallers Metal Church. Seen all renditions multiple times, ironically sans the Ronnie Monroe version...

I knew you would not like it. From all accounts all these bands sounding great in their current incarnations. Check youtube to see current live shows of these bands, Devil in Disguise for example killing it. The Accused AD is the final addition. I too would have to lean towards the "not liking it"....
