Stjärnor I Öster LP 1992
Label: private #: GONG 5 Country: Sweden
Info: While compilations by local music org's continued to be a common thing in Sweden up until the 00's, this is probably one of the last ones released on vinyl. Seem to be a co-op thing by bands from the town of Västervik on the east coast of Sweden (the title translates as "Stars In The East") and possibly some neighboring towns, though info is sparse to say the least.

CONTENT
(bold = exclusive track / normal = non-exclusive track / italic = non-metal)

Side A:
1. Ola Kosonen - A Piece Of Universe
  Instrumental electro-fluff.
2. THE MINOR SPLITS - We Arrive
  Pop-rock.
3. THE WATCHMEN - Tortured
  Goth rock.
4. FLÄSKFARMEN - Luftcirkus
  Indie-rock a la Dinosaur Jr.
5. PAPPAS POJKAR - Butterfly
  Laid back indie pop.
6. GENITAL GRINDER - A Corpulent Monstrosity
You guessed it: Pure early Carcass-worship, complete with regurgitating vocals and awful production.

Side B:
1. THE PREACHERS OF NEVERLAND - Embalada
  Fields-style heavy goth rock.
2. DRONES CLUB - The Fight
  Schmalzy soft pop.
3. OCEANS OF MAGIC - Hey Mommy
  Rock ballad.
4. POST WAR DREAM - Every Mistake (Made Was Wrong)
  Alternative rock.
5. PARADICE - Marching On
You've gotta give them credit for churning out something so incredibly dated as traditional 'FWOSHM' in the style you'd hear 10 years earlier on old mid-league yet 'kult' 7"s like Chiron, Exciters, Nagazaki, Razoblade, Wildness etc, though this is even more amateurish than most of those oldies.
6. 2271 - Bara För Dig
  Indie-pop.
