Skånsk Rock I LP 1982
Label: GS Music #: GSM-LP-701 Country: Sweden
Info: This series seems to have been the initiative of studio owner/producer Göran Sandquist who wanted to promote the local rock scene of Skåne, the southernmost region of Sweden. All 3 volumes were released pretty much simultaneously.

CONTENT
(bold = exclusive track / normal = non-exclusive track / italic = non-metal)

Side A:
1. SILVER MOUNTAIN - She Needs
My favourite SM-track. Outstanding Old Heavy Metal with neo-classical parts, all built upon a riveting, ultracatchy lead riff. Later featured on the Japanse 2CD demo-compilation "Anthology II"
2. ZELTAYANA - Best Side
  Jazzy pop/rock.
3. TARA - Om Du Bara Visste
  Pop/rock.
4. TIDLÖS - Varma Tankar
  Ska/rock.
5. FOTFOLKET - Dracula
  Jazzy rock.
6. COMMON SENSE - Det Är Inte Eld Som Brinner
  Powerpop.
7. KONTRA 82 - Something Has Happened
  Melodic/progressive rock/aor.
8. BLACKROSE - This Is Me
Tight, solid Hard Rock that won't turn any heads/ears.

Side B:
1. RIP KIRBY & THE DESMONDS - Natt
  Pop.
2. ALCATRAZ - Love Can Be Too Dangerous
Hardish boogie/country rock that also had a 7" out on Pang Records, occationally mislabeled as FWOSHM so be warned.
3. SOUND EXPRESS - Nattens Lady
  Rock.
4. PRECISION - Once Upon A Time
  Rock.
5. KANADA - Kool-Aid
  Lightweight rock.
6. BÅGA BIIT - Kom Hem Igen
  Kinda quirky rock/powerpop.
7. AXID - Stadens Lag
A bit mellow & upbeat "NWOBHM" with a rock-edge. Nicer than the description would make you believe. This is the very same Axid also featured on Pang Rec's Heavy Metal comp from the same year.
8. ROAD-X - Kvinna-82
  Rock w/ a touch of dub/ska.
