The Lost Tapes Of Cogumelo LP 1990
Label: Cogumelo Produções #: COG-031 Country: Brazil
Info: A collection of tracks taken from early demos of classic Cogumelo acts. Reissued on CD in 2007 (minus the OVERDOSE track) together with the first Warfare Noise volume.

(bold = exclusive track / normal = non-exclusive track / italic = non-metal)

Side A:
1. OVERDOSE - Última Estrela
For some inexplainable reason this song made me think of Kiss (!?) - if they would have been an old Brazilian crust-punk band. Damn nice & primitive Speedness!
2. HOLOCAUSTO - Massacre
Pure, defining BrazDeath chaos! A sound that a million "old school" DM bands have yet to be able to mimic. Appears as bonus track on the 2003 CD edition of "Campo De Extermino"
3. SARCÓFAGO - Christ's Death
They sound more Finn/Jap-core on their demos but that's mostly the raw production talking.
4. SARCOFAGO - Satanic Lust
One of the greatest moments in extreme Metal history.

Side B:
1. SEPULTURA - Necromancer
One of the best of their early DM tracks in a demo version not too dissimilar to the debut split-LP version. Later featured on "The Roots Of Sepultura" 2CD.
2. MUTILATOR - Evil Conspiracy
Follows in the same footsteps as The Sep's, The Sarc's and The 'Causts, but with a little less identity. I prefer their Warfare Noise I contributions. Appears as bonus on the 2003 CD reissue of "Immortal Force".
3. MUTILATOR - Visions Of Darkness
A bit 'crustier' but basically same-same. Appears as bonus on the 2003 CD reissue of "Immortal Force".
4. CHAKAL - Children Sacrifice
1-minute intro + 2 minutes music = 3 minutes of chaosthrash that's notably more primitive in performance compared to the LP version.
