Home Grown In N.H.: Rock 'N Roll In The Granite State Vol. II LP 1983
Label: NCS #: NCS 8303 Country: USA
Info: Compilation of New Hampshire bands. The first volume is good for fans of heavy southern rock and powerpop, but there's no real metal content.

CONTENT
(bold = exclusive track / normal = non-exclusive track / italic = non-metal)

Side A:
1. DEAD RINGER - We Love To Rock
Early MOTLEY CRUE sound, with an unfortunate funk beat.
2. SHADY HILL - Rock N' Roll Queen
Hard AOR like a rougher BOSTON.
3. THE NUBS - The Good Outweighs The Bad
  Catchy post-punk/new wave.
4. VERTICAL VERVE - Back To You
  Progressive leaning boogie rock.
5. JIM KEEFE - It's Too Late
  Alternative rock.
6. FAULTLINE - Fire In Her Eyes
Some nice melodies in this new wavey hard rock song.

Side B:
1. KNIGHTMARE - Technology For The 80's
OK, but ultimately forgettable punk/metal crossover. (same band that later did the "Mindless Mayhem" LP + more..)
2. KNIGHTMARE - Lake Of Fire
A big improvement with some heavy NWOBHM style riffing. Other than the flat raspy vocals, it's quite good.
3. TEMPUS FUGIT - Liar
Glammy southern rock, if you can believe that.
4. THE METROPOLITANS - A Jam Like This
  Female fronted pop punk.
5. LICHEN - The Sadness In Your Eyes
  THE DOORS style retro rock.
6. WITCH-HUNTER - Cerebus
Amateur epic metal with an unexpectedly indie rock feel to the vocals and guitar sound (think SAVAGE GRACE meets THE CURE). Overall very original and enjoyable.
